'I can't comprehend that I'm doing this right now.'
As the silence takes over the atmosphere of the town and the night sky shines brighter than ever, Clyde finally took a second to appreciate how beautiful it was. He realized that in his younger years he was never able to relax in nature and enjoy his existence. Constantly training and fighting to be the best warrior of the Ethereal Kingdom, spending all of the years of his life to be the right hand man for Prince Damian. Constantly being yelled at by his own father and Prince Damian's father, the previous king, on every single mistake he made over and over again. This only sank his anger for Prince Damian even further in his heart, realizing all of the nice things were ripped away from him by Prince Damian's existence, even unintentionally.
He took a deep breath, realizing he was already standing outside of the warriors barracks. He was still completely in shock that he was about to invade your privacy to do something for Druas. Praying you were not awake as that confrontation would not be easy to explain, he enters the buildings and looks down at all the beds. Without realizing yours is empty, he focuses on the task at hand. He slowly creeps over to it to avoid waking anyone else up on the way. Once at your bed, he realizes you have barely any belongings near or around it.
'Does (Y/N) even have any stuff? She came here with almost nothing anyway. What does Druas really think I am going to find?' He thought to himself, still moving around the bed sheets and checking underneath the bed just to be sure. Now that he couldn't find anything to investigate, his brain finally took a step back to realize you weren't there. He didn't even think about you not being there until he remembered the warriors have a strict curfew to be within the barracks and then asleep by.
'Wait a second... where the fuck is (Y/N)..' His face then almost lit up in rage at the thought of you trying to leave or escape during the night. Maybe you snuck out with someone else? That made his heart burn with jealousy. Everyone in the warrior barracks at least was in their bed sleeping, so it would have to be someone else. He quickly got out of the barracks before his anger exploded noticeably on his face, as he began to check every single other location of the town thoroughly in his fit of rage.
He still couldn't find you, but the constant moving around caused him to blow off steam and calm down. Other possibilities of where you might be came into his head as he worried if something bad happened to you. Who knows what kind of real rage would induce from him if he ever got his hands on the person who did something bad to you. However, he was trying to calm down and refrain from thinking like that until he was certain you weren't here. He had already checked everywhere, so where else could he look within the bounds of the town?
It was way too late at night to try to do any rounds of the ground around the town, leaving Clyde with no other option but to double check every location again. The healing center, the warrior barracks, the elite warrior barracks, the archer barracks, the healer barracks, the great hall, the library... the library. He stepped into the last location again, the only place you could still be hiding, and really tried to check everywhere he could. He was about to give up hope and began to walk out, stressing already of what to do next to find you.
However, he heard something as he was going to leave. A faint yet distinct noise coming from a corner around a bookcase: Someone snoring. He immediately rushed over to the noise and found you, completely passed out and drooling on a small table with books littered everywhere on you and around your seat. One book specifically left open under your hand having one page completely filled with some kind of handwriting, much different from all the printed books in the library. He enjoyed reading from time to time and could instantly realize that the book didn't belong.
