'She was in there to get something, I'm sure of it. But what? What exactly is she planning? Her mind is so far away from focusing on the training. That must mean she's focusing on something else. Someone else..." His mind turned to your notebook full of secrets as he watched you disappear into the distance. He couldn't help but slightly catch a glimpse of you walking towards another man before dissolving into the group. Maybe he was the other person. Or maybe the other person was in your notebook. Which turned him to thinking about the library. He rushed into the library to the exact spot you hid in. Surveying every book on the floor and the spot he swore was empty, the bookcase in front of the seat was full of other books. All of the books had the same spine and he remembered that yours didn't. It was handwritten and special unlike all the dull printed books.

'(Y/N)... She moved it. The secrets she is keeping in that notebook must be worthwhile now. I'm digging up this entire library until I find it.' While thinking to himself about the next steps in looking for it, Clyde hears someone turn and open the door to the library and slowly step in. Knowing everyone else was at training, he could already tell it was Alice without even having to look. He looks anyway and faintly sees her outline from a distance, as she gets to see him tearing the place apart. A part of her wanted to assume he had gone mad to make her life easier. Unfortunately, the only connection she had to his erratic behavior was you. And even that was a touchy subject. She headed over to him in the corner as books were flying past and around him off the shelves in anger.

"Clyde? What are you doing in the library with all these books? And throwing them everywhere too?...Ugh, nevermind. I saw you chasing after (Y/N). That girl is definitely bad news. I don't understand why you seem so obsessed with–ugh!" Definitely a very touchy subject indeed. She felt the air inside her lungs and mouth disappear as the sentence she was trying to finish followed soon after. Clyde was inches away from her face, when before he was seemingly only a few feet away. Looking into his eyes now, there was a whole different person. A person with so much physical rage but his eyes didn't hold it. They were confused, nervous, annoyed, worried... how could he be feeling so many emotions right now when normally he could barely even feel one at a time?

"Say another word about (Y/N), Alice Lange... and this spearhead goes straight across your throat." He holds up the metal pointy end of the spear straight across her neck, and Alice notices his hand wrapped in bandages. Just how often was he getting injured and not telling her? That was another whole issue, and Alice couldn't even help but feel horrible for thinking about the safety of someone else while in a life or death situation. As she coughs hard enough to bring up blood and other substances into her mouth, she refrains from letting them out and stares at Clyde in shock and disgust at the man he had become.

"That's what I thought. (Y/N) has consumed my mind. I know we had a plan and goal here, but it's over. The future is for me now, whether Druas or Andre like it or not." He withdraws the spear from her neck and brings it back to himself, turning over to look at the books but keeping himself within good listening range to hear what she had to say. Obviously if it was anything about you, his movements were swift and ready to strike. After the scare he gave Alice for her life, there were more important things to question than that, especially if Clyde was being serious.

"It's over..? What will Druas and Andre say about this... when they find out you are going to throw out everything they worked to accomplish... for a random girl..." She struggled to regain her normal breathing and still speak at the same time. The nonsense he was spewing right now didn't help either as she wanted to yell at him and ask a hundred questions. Fortunately for him, he would be spared that yelling rant. Her voice was cracking as she spoke and she really couldn't afford to lose it, so she had to speak slowly and watch what she was saying.
