6 year old Hong Joshua just moved to Korea. He's being walked down to his class, his nerves eyes looming up at the teacher

"Jisoo, no need to be worried. All the kids are nice. " His teacher spoke."Yes ma'am, " he replied as they reached the classroom

They walked in, and Joshua looked down. "Boys and girls, this our new student," His teacher spoke

Jisoo looked up. "Hello everyone, I'm Hong Jisoo, or Joshua, I am from America and I'm 6" he spoke

"What do we say to new friends?" The teacher spoke,"Nice to meet you, " all the kids said

"Okay, Jisoo, you can go sit next to Seokmin. Seokmin honey, raise your hand. " Joshua looked up to see a kid smiling with his hand up

Joshua walked back and sat next to him. "I'm I'm Lee Seokmin. I'm 6 as well,  and I love pizza. Do you wanna be called Jisoo or Joshua? Joshua is cool. I can make nicknames with it.  Like Joshie or Shua"

Joshua looked down. "Joshua is okay," he spoke softly. "Okay Joshua, when is your birthday?"It's in December," he spoke

"Yay! I'm your hyung!" "Seokmin" the teacher warned the little brown haired boy "Sorry Mrs. Jung"

Seokmin looked back at Joshua. "My birthday is in February," He whispered, and Joshua nodded

"Do you know English?" Seokmin asked "Yes" Joshua spoke, his head still down "Woahhh so cool, I wanna learn English. I wanna live in America,  is it cool in America?"

"I guess so. I only stayed at home with my mom. I didn't go out much, " Joshua answered "Ahh well we'll be best friends forever, and my mom will take us anywhere in Korea. "

"But you have to promise me we'll be best friends forever." Seokmin stuck his pinky out. "Pinky promise, if you break the promise, I eat your pinky."

"No, don't eat it," Joshua spoke. "I'm just kidding, but you never break a pinky promise." Joshua stuck his pinky out, and they linked them together

Seokmin smiled ear to ear, and so did Joshua  "Boys" they both turned their heads to see everyone was out of the classroom. "Head to lunch," she spoke

"Sorry, Mrs. Jung" Seokmin stood up, pulling Joshua with him."The lunch room is this way. Did you bring your lunch?"

Joshua stopped and shook his head. "Eomma couldn't make it." He looked down "Oh" Seokmin spoke

They walked into the lunch room, and the two sat down "Here" Seokmin pulled his lunch box

"Good thing eomma packs me two sets of chopsticks." He handed Joshua a pair of chopsticks. "We can share." Seokmin smiled, and Joshua got up and bowed

"Thank you, hyung." He sat back down, and they started eating "Hyug what's this?" Joshua pointed."That's Japchae. It's good, right?" Joshua nodded, eating more

"Here have all the Japchae. I'll eat the rice and seaweed soup. " "감사합니다 형" Seokmin smiled

The two are now in 5th grade. Joshua is still his shy, quiet, reserved self, and Seokmin is still happy, energetic, and loud

"JOSHUA!" Seokmin yelled from the end of the hallway. Joshua turned, and he waved but got pushed into the locker. "Watch out, Hong."
