SORRY I FORGOT THIS BOOK EXISTED
Y/n's pov
After Wesley left, my parents came back in.
"You okay?" My mom asked.
"Yeah, why?" I answered honestly.
"I can't read you and I'm getting nervous." She said, obviously emotional.
"Yeah, that's weird, I can read you just fine, are you okay?" I asked, knowing she wasn't.
The question made her put up a wall around her emotions.
"Mom, are you okay?"
She tried building the wall that surrounded her emotions higher, "My feelings are besides the point."
I looked at my dad, and he gave me a slightly sad look, "Mom, you know that's not true." I said.
She swallowed the lump in her throat, and I hugged her.
She almost broke down immediately in my arms.
She hugged me back tightly.
"I thought I lost you, I wish that never happened, I wish I never let you go down there." She blubbered.
I shushed her softly, "Shhh, mom, it's okay, I'm okay mom."
She still cried in my arms.
After a moment, she let go of me and wiped her tears off her face.
"Thank you for the hug." She said quietly.
I gave her a soft smile, "You're welcome, mom."
She sighed, sniffling as she wiped away other tears that escaped.
"How are you feeling?" She asked.
"You still can't tell?" I asked.
She shook her head, "No, I can't."
I smiled softly, "I feel fine, like brand new." I joked slightly.
She gave me a sad giggle.
My dad walked up to me and said, "I missed you."
I smiled and gave him a tight hug.
*An hour later*
Doctor Crusher came and put me through tests.
At one point, I asked, "Do you think I'll be able to meet Wesley in Ten Forward at 18:00 hours today?"
She looked at me and said, "I don't know, these tests could take awhile."
I sighed softly and quietly to not show my disappointment.
"But, I suppose we might be able to take a break at that point while you meet with him." She said, thinking about letting me go.
I smiled softly, "Thanks."
*Later*
When Doctor Crusher allowed me to go to my quarters, I showered and changed my clothes.
And I had a slight limp from not walking in so long.
But she was following me around to make sure I didn't hurt myself or go back into a coma, which was her main concern.
We walked to the Turbolift I said, "Ten Forward."
"You understand why I'm following you, right?" She asked, scanning me with the tricorder for the hundredth time.
"Yes, to make sure I don't do anything I'm not supposed to."
She sighed, "You know it's more complex than that."
"I know, that was the quickest way I could say it."
"Your body is adjusting to standing up."
"I'm guessing I won't need physical therapy." I joked.
"You still might, you have an unexplained limp and I wouldn't suggest running around for a while."
"Yeah, my left leg feels shorter." I said sarcastically.
"That could be a reason." She said, scanning my left leg, then my right leg.
"Nope, they're both the same height."
She sighed, "It could be psychosomatic."
"Wait, you think that I have some internal conflict which is making me limp?" I asked in disbelief.
"I'm not surprised that you know what that means."
"My mom is a counselor." I said as the doors opened.
"Now I don't want you doing any strenuous activities."
"Okay, okay."
I walked to Ten Forward and saw Wesley sitting at a table by himself, fidgeting with a gift box.
I felt his nervousness about the gift, whether I'd like it or not.
I smiled softly as I walked behind him and ran my hand across his back.
He looked at me and smiled.
"Doctor says I can't run." I smirked.
He stood up and hugged me.
"I didn't think she'd actually let you do this, but please, sit." He said and motioned to my seat he was now standing behind to help scooch it in for me.
I sat down in the chair.
He went around and sat in his chair, holding a box.

"A water please." I said to the waiter and he nodded and left.
I saw Deanna walk towards me.
"What's the gift he's going to give her?" She asked, before asking the waiter for a Yridian tea.
I looked at them as I spoke to her, they were talking and smiling at each other.
"It's very sweet, Wesley designed it himself." I said.
"Is it jewelry?" She asked as the waiter gave us what we wanted.
"Yeah, it's very cute, I've seen it."
"You have?" She asked.
"Yes, he needed a bit of help designing it."
"Oh, that's so sweet, she will definitely love it."
I smiled, "I know."

"I made this gift for you." He said, holding a gift box on the table.
"You made it?" I asked, acting like I didn't know since I read his mother's mind.
"Yeah..." He said, a little bashful.
"I bet it looks very beautiful."
He opened it, facing toward me and I gasped.
It was a beautiful bracelet,
"Wesley... it's gorgeous."
I took it out of the box, and looked at it.
"Oh Wesley, it's so beautiful..."
He had a smile on his face.
I kept staring at it, feeling a bit emotional.
"Thank you Wesley." I said, truly meaning it.
"You're welcome y/n, do you want help putting it on?"
"Yes, please." I said, holding it out for him to take and he put it on.
"Thank you so much Wesley."
He was smiling.
"You're welcome."
