Sirzechs' disbelief hung in the air like a heavy fog as he grappled with the revelation that Issei Hyoudou had transformed from a devil into a human. His mind raced, trying to comprehend the implications of such a transformation.

"How is that even possible?" Sirzechs finally managed to utter, his voice tinged with shock.

Ajuka, the ever-calculating and intelligent Maou Beelzebub, maintained his grave demeanor. He knew the answer to Sirzechs' question was not a simple one. "I have a rough estimate of how it happened," he admitted, his voice measured.

"Issei," Ajuka began, his voice low and reassuring, "I need to ask you a crucial question. Do you possess holy magic?"

Issei, caught off guard by the question, hesitated. The inheritance of holy magic from his formidable grandfather, Escanor, was a closely guarded secret. He glanced at the faces of those in the room, searching for a sign of trust.

Ajuka, understanding the weight of Issei's dilemma, offered a promise of utmost discretion. "Issei," he said, his tone sincere, "you have my word that whatever you reveal in this room will not leave its confines."

Issei, caught in the center of this revelation, couldn't help but feel a mix of trepidation and curiosity. Ajuka's promise of confidentiality weighed on his mind, and he finally spoke, albeit cautiously, "Yes, I do possess holy magic, and I inherited it from my grandfather, Escanor."

As soon as those words left Issei's lips, the atmosphere in the room shifted drastically. The older devils present, including Sirzechs, Ajuka, Lord Phenex, and Lady Phenex, all shared a collective moment of PTSD that had haunted them from the darkest pages of history—the time when Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride, had terrorized their ranks during the Great War.

Their faces contorted with expressions of pure fear, and their voices quivered as they recounted the memories that had left an indelible mark on their souls.

Sirzechs, who was known for his composure, could hardly conceal his apprehension. "Escanor," he muttered, his voice shaky, "I thought I'd never hear that name again."

Ajuka, the Maou Beelzebub, couldn't help but recall the sheer power and destruction that Escanor had unleashed. "He was a force of nature," he admitted with a shiver. "His presence alone sent shivers down our spines."

Lord Phenex, normally dignified and composed, had a haunted look in his eyes as he remembered the devastation wrought by Escanor. "We were helpless against him," he confessed. "His power was beyond anything we had ever faced."

Lady Phenex, her fiery spirit momentarily extinguished by the memories, whispered in dread, "Escanor was a nightmare, a force that could not be tamed."

The room had transformed into a sanctuary of shared trauma, where the memories of Escanor's might and the terror he had instilled in even the most powerful devils were revisited. Issei, still grappling with the revelation of his transformation, couldn't help but feel the weight of his grandfather's legacy and the consequences it had brought upon him.

Ajuka, ever the strategist, broke the silence with a solemn declaration. "Issei," he said, his voice firm, "it appears that your inheritance of holy magic from Escanor is the reason for your transformation into a human. Holy magic and devil physiology are incompatible, and it seems your body has chosen the path of humanity."

The question hung in the air, heavy and laden with curiosity. Sirzechs, his eyes still bearing traces of fear and awe from the mention of Escanor, finally summoned the courage to ask, "Issei, how is it that you are Escanor's grandson? As far as we knew, Escanor did not have any children."

Issei, sitting on the hospital bed, prepared to share the story of his connection to the legendary Escanor. It was a tale that had been etched into his heart since childhood. He took a deep breath and began to recount the memories of that fateful day.
