~ Aru's pov ~
I stared at Aiden. He smiled at me, his dark eyes tinkling like galaxies.
"I love you Aru," he whispered.
I leaned in closer till there were centimetres (sorry Americans) between us. He brushed a lock of hair out of my face and leaned in even closer until...
"ARU!" Brynne yelled. I jerked awake, looking around. How did I forget about the sleepover? Groaning, I slowly rolled over to face Brynne.
"I was sleeping!" I protested.
"I know."
"I hate you."
"Of course I'm amazing. Now get ready, breakfast's downstairs." Brynne said, before leaving the room.
As I sat up I saw Nikita sitting in the corner, staring at me wide-eyed. She was wearing silky black pajamas embroidered with mint green vines. Nikita looked way too cool to have just woken up. I was still not sure why she was looking at me like that. Then I remembered.
"You didn't see any of that, did you?"
She smiled sweetly at me. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."
"You won't tell him anything, right?" I begged swivelling around to face her. The sweet smile turned evil.
"Depends. Gimme 5 dollars." My sister said. I scoffed
"Are you serious?"
"I'm not sure," she paused, pretending to think for a second before proceeding to shout, "AAAAAIIIDEEEEEEE -"
"Fine, alright!" I pleaded, passing the money on my side-table (goodbye, ice-cream).
"And the Swedish Fish..." she said smugly. Sobbing inwardly, I passed the bag.
"Thank you! See you at breakfast!" Nikita said, back to being sweet. I rolled my eyes.
2 hours later, I found a piece of paper with $5 and a packet of Swedish Fish attached. I read the note:
I told him anyway so... you can have these back now!
Byeee!
Nikki
I glared at the paper. I hate Nikki right now.
It turned it over to look at the other side.
P.s. he likes you back!
