Now, let's get one thing straight:

Arielle Reddy was not a member of the Aru Shah fanclub.

If she was being honest, the girl kinda intimidated her.

She always knew what to say, ate candy faster than Arielle had even thought possible, and that note thing in 7th grade? That was just creepy.

But that wasn't it. Even before the note thing, Aru was confident and funny and smart and that made her intimidating in another, even worse way. In a way that made Arielle respect her.

So Arielle opted for the other option: to hate her. It was easier than understanding her. Easier than any other options.

But it didn't make it right.

Arielle stood in front of Aru's locker. Highschool would be over in a few days. And after that they'd probably never meet again. It seemed like a time for apologies.

The note was short and simple, but Arielle couldn't really think what to say. It said everything it needed to.

Let's get one thing straight:

Arielle Reddy was not part of the Aru Shah fanclub.

But maybe, she thought as she slipped the apology into Aru's locker, she was closer than she had thought.

Ok this was really short, but I haven't updated in a while!
Hope you like it!
