When the phone doesn't ring I look at the clock and it says 2:45 AM. I walk over to the phone in my room and I dial Billy's number and Max answers.
"Hello, who is it?"
"It's Kolton, is Billy home, he was supposed to call me when he got home"
"Well he's not home, sorry"
"It's late why wouldn't he be home?"
"I don't know, bye Kol"
"Bye"
I hang up the phone and I go back to my bed and I sit down on it, where is he?, why wouldn't he be home?, I'll call him tomorrow.
~The Next Day~
The phone rings and I get up off my bed and I answer the phone
"Hello?"
"Hey have you heard from Billy at all last night or this morning?"
"No, I tried to call last night and Max said he wasn't home"
"When was that?"
"Uhm 2:45 I think"
"I was gonna call him in an hour see if he was awake"
"Wait, i'm gonna call him and you don't say a word okay?"
I go silent for a bit trying to process what she's getting at
"Why?"
"Just don't say anything"
"Okay?"
she goes silent for 30 seconds then I hear Billys voice
"Hello?"
he sounds pissed
"Hey Bills"
"What do you want?"
"Where were you last night"
"At the party"
"No, after the party"
"I came home"
"At what time"
"like 1:00, Why?"
"Because I just got off the phone with Kolton and he said you weren't home when he called"
"Well maybe I wasn't home yet when he called"
"He called you at 2:45"
"Okay? maybe I was sleeping"
"Max said you weren't home"
he goes quiet then he speaks up
"Okay, fine, you can't tell him though, me and Tina have been hooking up for a while"

My heart drops, I know I shouldn't be upset because I cheated on him but that was once he's been doing it for a while.
"You what..."
the phone goes silent
"Let me explain-"
I hang up, upset and confused I sit down in my chair I grab my cork bored and my paper shredder and I set it down on my desk and grab my paper shredder and I start putting picture into it, Krys walks into my room and looks at what i'm doing confused
"What are you doing"
"What does it look like i'm doing?"
"I was gonna ask you if you wanted to eat ice cream and watch movies at my house but you look busy"
"Clearly"
"you can come over when your done"
"I'm okay"
I know she's trying to help but I just want to be left alone, after she leaves I throw my cork board on the floor and I start crying, Toni walks in and hugs me
"you're gonna be okay"
I don't say anything and I just stand there crying, hugging my sister.
