'Enga amma oora vitu kelambi venumna thirty years mela irukalam, adhukaha enna yaru ne therila nu soluva nu na konjo kuda expect panala..'

Samvrutha stood there stunned when Shravan said who he is. She was aware that her dad and other periyappa's had an elder sister, but the next generation were not taught about them who were once a big reason for the family to suffer with grief. Especially, Thanigachalam was stern in his decision about not forgiving his only daughter who destroyed their peace.

Even though Kamaleshwari was the elder girl in the family, her younger brothers got married earlier than her. According to their family's astrologist, it was told that Kamaleshwari would get married only after her brothers got married. Vel brothers denied it, but Kamaleshwari pestered them to do so. Also, the jadhagam of the grooms didn't match with Kamaleshwari so her wedding got postponed each time.

When Krishnavel got married to Mallika, Thanigachalam's family got to know about Mallika's brother Lakshmiram who worked in the city at that time. Thanigachalam had a wish to get him married to Kamaleshwari; the only mistake he did was he checked his match with Kamaleshwari and didn't let Lakshmiram know about it or ask his wish.

As the profiles matched, Kamaleshwari got to know about it and she developed desires towards Lakshmiram. But unexpectedly, Lakshmiram married Devi whom he loved. It became a shocker for the entire family. Thanigachalam realised his mistake that he should have asked Lakshmiram beforehand before taking it to the next level. Everyone in the family realised it except Kamaleshwari who was entirely broken.

A big fight got developed between Lakshmiram and her, and she challenged him that she would get a better life than him in future. Even though Lakshmiram had nothing to do with the happenings, he genuinely felt bad for Kamaleshwari. But she was not in the place to listen to him.

Kamaleshwari got angry with all her family members for supporting Lakshmiram and not her in this matter. Thanigachalam's wife and Kamaleshwari's mother Aandal was alive at that time, but her daughter's unexpected actions made her worry. Kamaleshwari demanded her family to give her shares so that she could live alone somewhere.

Thanigachalam denied it, and Kamaleshwari chose the kurukku vazhi. She blackmailed her mother emotionally and got her signature to get her assets. When the family came to know about it, everyone got shocked about Kamaleshwari who seemed like a different person at that time. She took it as a revenge and left the house without hearing anyone.

Since Kamaleshwari left, Aandal lost her peace. She thought that she was the reason for all the happenings. Aandal was the one who got hurried and told about Lakshmiram's profile matching with her daughters. Aandal blamed herself for her doings, and day by day, she got ill. She missed her only daughter and even in her last days, she tried to reach Kamaleshwari, but she didn't even spare a look at Aandal.

With all the guilt and worries, Aandal left the world which shook the entire family. Aandal was like the pillar of the family, also for Thanigachalam. Since he lost his wife, his anger for Kamaleshwari grew no bounds. He entirely washed off her from their family even though Vel brothers tried to convince their dad.

After a couple of years, they got to know about Kamaleshwari who got married to a good-hearted person, Logeshwaran. From what Vel brothers found, they were sure that Logeshwaran was not like their sister. At least they got relieved that their sister was living a happy life.

Years passed and Thanigachalam's anger still remained the same. Vel brothers didn't want to make their father angry. They knew that he entirely changed only due to their sister who caused the loss of Aandal.

Samvrutha faintly knew about this story but she had never seen any of them except Kamaleshwari's childhood picture which she got to see from their store room once and asked her dad.
