We walked up to two large and grand doors. Entering the room you immediately took notice of the people in the room. So many people... and they were all male. You couldn't sense a single woman.
The scent of man was making your hunger flare up but you forced it down. A floating... glowing thing? Spoke. "Some headmage he is." The floating thing looked similar to a phone but stretched out. A boy with red eyes, tan skin, and white hair spoke. "Maybe he had a tummyache?" He's kind of a cutie.
"I most certainly did not!" Crowley announced as he put his hands on his hips. "Ah, speak of the devil." A red-haired boy crossed his arms. "If you must know, I was searching for the new students who'd failed to show for orientation." Crowley responded with sass.
"You are the only two who have yet to be assigned a dorm." He motioned for the brown-haired boy to walk forward. "Step up to the Dark Mirror, and be quick about it. I'll watch your weasel."
The brown-haired boy walked forward timidly and approached the mirror that was floating in the middle of the room. You recognized that mirror! That was the same ornate mirror on the sea floor! This time, however, the mirror portrayed green flames and a fancy mask.
"State your name." Its familiar voice spoke. "I'm Yuu..." The brunette informed the mirror. "Yuu... the nature of your soul is..."
There was a long silence.
"...unclear to me." The mirror decided. "What did you just say?" Crowley looked very surprised. "I sense no magical power from this one. Soundless. Colorless. Shapeless. Utterly vacant. Therefore, no dorm would be appropriate." The mirror explained.
"Are you suggesting that the black carriage went to receive a person who cannot even use magic?" Crowley put his free hand on his hip. "But that is absurd! The student selection process has not erred once in its century of existence!" He pinched the bridge of his nose. "How could this have happened?" Crowley stressed.
Yuu walked back over to Crowley. "We'll deal with you later." Crowley then turned to you. "Now you, step to the dark mirror. Make it quick." Crowley seemed curt with you.
You practically strutted up to the mirror, ignoring all the stares you were getting. "State your name." The mirror commanded. "Y/N!" You smiled. "Y/N... the nature of your soul is..." There was another long pause. How dramatic.
"...unclear to me." It announced once again. "What?" Crowley seemed to be in disbelief. "This one bears magic, however, there is not one dorm she would befit." That's probably not good, right? "wait... 'she'?" Crowley questioned. You furrowed your eyebrows at Crowley. Obviously, you were a girl. Duh doy!
"This is a boys-only academy! How in the world did the carriage bring a woman?" Crowley frowned. "Oh my, such an absurd situation has never happened at NRC before..." You deadpanned. "Well like... I was obviously a girl." You put your hands on your hips. "Some of the boys here like a bit... feminine..." He cleared his throat and motioned for you to walk back over to him.
"We'll have to deal with you asw- woah!" The creature suddenly leaped out of Crowley's arm. "ME! Let ME have this student's seat!" The creature pointed at Yuu. "Not so fast, you hyperactive weasel!" Crowley warned while he did nothing. "Unlike that human, I can actually use magic! So let me be a student here!"It boasted. "Look, I'll show you! My spells're the cat's meow!"
"Everyone, get down!" The redhead yelled before the creature blew what looked like blue fire. You've never seen blue fire before! Cool! You fell to your knees in an effort to stay safe. "Myaaahhh!"
The fire caught the red-eyed boy. "AHHHHH! HELP! I'm on fire over here!" the boy yelled. "Someone catch that blasted animal before it sets the entire school ablaze!" Crowley commanded. It would be easier if you were underwater... you'd be an excellent hunter.
