Chapter 1

It was around 3:00PM, where Dustin, a young boy around the age of 13, finds himself climbing Mount Ebott, hearing tales from his family and other townsfolk of monsters that lived deep beneath the mountain. As he hiked his way up the mountain, nearing the top, it had started to rain. He noticed an overhang nearby, and decided to take shelter for the night. His mother had packed him all the supplies he would need to make a fire for warmth, and plenty of food and tools. As Dustin was attempting to light the fire, he tripped and fell into a hole. He would continue falling for several minutes. "I'm gonna die." He thought to himself as he kept falling. Then, he noticed light beneath him. He closed his eyes, bracing for impact, only to land in a bed of flowers, with only a few bruises and a scratch on his left hand. He lay there for around 5 minutes until a strange woman walked up to him. She was covered in a white fur coat, with horns on her head, almost like a goat, and she was wearing some sort of purple robe. "My child, are you alright?" She asked him. "Yeah, I'm OK. Just a few bruises." He replied, wondering what exactly it was he was speaking to.
"Oh, how rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins." She told him as he still pondered. He kept pondering for a few minutes before asking her "Are you a... goat?". She seemed nice, so he was confused since she didn't SEEM like a monster, although she WAS a talking goat. "I've never really thought about it before but... I guess I am." She answered, just as confused as he was. "The name's Dustin. Nice to meet you, Toriel!" After that, she signaled him to follow her...
