Chapter 2: A Not So Friendly Acquaintance

After walking for what feels like hours, we made it in front of a house and I asked "So we're staying at a friend's house or something?" She looks at me confused and says "Friend? No this is my house. I've been in the human world a few times myself. It makes sense I have a house right?" I look at the house again and I see how small it is. Then I look at her and I start second guessing but it's already too late for that. I see her walk in and I follow her. When we get in she says "Welcome! Um what's your name again?" I facepalm and say "My name's Jinsoo Hitagashi. Nice to meet you." I say sarcastically. She looks at me and says "Whatever i'll take it. So because of how drunk I am i'm going to bed."  Tenko walks a bit before adding "You can do whatever you want." I nod my head and then look around. There's not much to do here so i'm unsure of what to even do. I then hear Tenko go upstairs to her room and I decide to look outside. I saw a lot of wolves again and went out because I figured I should do some training. I walked up to the wolves and used flame feet. I sparked my foot on fire and kicked one of the wolves in it's face then like eariler spinned around to kick the other wolves killing them all. Once I finish I look back and saw my foot was not on fire anymore. I yawned realizing how tired I gotten. I try and hold myself but I end up falling to my knees and passing out on the floor. Later I woke up in Tenko's house. Tenko was in the kitchen cooking something. I asked "Tenko, what happened?" Tenko ran to me leaving the stove unattended but she asks me "Are you ok? I woke up in the morning to see you laying on the ground with a pack of dead wolves." I realized she must've been worried. I heard a voice say (Choose a new skill: Devil's Leg Blast 10 points or Heavy-Handed Powerball 10 points.) I then thought about the points. They must be part of my stats or something that goddess said earlier. I looked at her and said "Hey Tenko, check out my points, level and stats." She then takes a peek and says "You have 40 points and your level 20. Your strength is 8,000, your health 9,000 and your MP is 7,000. You're very pretty fast it's stats are the same as your strength. I'm impressed." I smile and say "Heavy-Handed Powerball." It's good to have moves for my legs but I also need hand to hand combat. After I wait an hour for the move I hear a growling noise in the distance knowing it's another wolf. When I went back outside it jumped at me I used my new move which sent the wolf flying in the air. I jumped as high as I can and using flame feet I deliver a combo to the wolf then kick it back to the grounding landing afterwards. I go back inside and Tenko says "Why'd you leave?" I told her about how I wanted to test my new moves and she tells me "Be more careful." I laugh it off a little bit and hear the doorbell ring. I heard a familiar voice saying "Hey Tenko I got your 60,000 but I didn't find the hero." Tenko's eyes light up and she rushes to open the door.  She smiles and says "May what's up?" May then told her "Nothing I got 60,000 yen from our bet." Tenko laughs and says "I told you they'd be vampires." I'm in complete shock looking at May. The same girl who killed me and my brother got me sent here. May then asked Tenko "Got anyone in? I would love to try some of your curry." Tenko tells her "Yeah one person. But you can still come in. Also what did you mean by (you didn't find the hero..)?" May then says "I meant I looked around trying to search for a strong hero to send to this world. I came across two vampires who seemed strong but didn't have potential to become stronger." I feel like a dog being talked down to while I was there and can hear all of this. Tenko invites May in and as soon as I see her step in I ran. I ran upstairs but I also realized I don't know where i'm going to nor what i'm going to do. I sighed and went back downstairs. Tenko is back in the kitchen cooking and May is sitting on the couch enjoying watching a show on the T.V. I try sneaking behind her to surprise her but in seconds she cuts my head off and my body falls. She looks at my body and says "What in the world are you doing?!" I stare at her and then my body regenerates so I tell her "That's your reaction after you cut my head off?" Tenko interrupts with "She has a detection skill, so no one can sneak up on her." May adds to that "Yeah and you also need to be quieter." Although I feel disrespected I tell her "Yeah yeah, whatever why are you even here?" She looked at me like i'm the crazy one and says "Why am I here? I practically live here, what gives you the right to come into my home and ask why I live here?!" I look at Tenko and point at May. Tenko smiles slightly and says "She's usually like that, it's her way of being nice. Especially considering she hasn't swore at you yet." May folds her arms and pouts but suddenly she gets an alert that shows a magic symbol. She jumps up and say "Oh man I gotta go to one of my jobs, nice chat Tenko and you too whatever your name is, later!" May rushes out the house so fast it looked like teleportation. I barely saw her move. I looked at Tenko and say "So about May?" She giggles a bit and explains "May is a girl born into this world about 15 years ago. A demon lord of the highest class showed up aiming to destroy the city. I showed up to stop it but I almost died. In the distance I saw a purple haired girl and her sister. Both of them were frozen with fear. Their parents were calling out to them but the monster ate their parents right in front of them. Enraged the older girl let out a massive aura of incredible caliber. I was shocked I had never seen a human so strong before. She launched herself at the demon lord with incredible speed. Her hair turned a bright red and she was punching the demon lord and sent flame spells, ice spells and earth spells I never even heard of.  In the end she killed the demon and afterward passed out. I walked over to her and saw the monster's dead corpse as well as her parents remains and her sister just standing there. I used my scanning albitites and found out May and her sister are half fish both have human appearances.  Her sister can swim fast whilst May can breathe underwater. At the time May needed to control her power better so I trained her and raised her for almost the rest of her 15 years but 5 years in raising her she went out and borrowed money. The people she borrowed from are very serious about deadlines. She thought she can pay them back in months however she couldn't and in payment they took everyone she loved expect her sister considering they didn't know she existed. So May being lost decided to do any means necessary to pay her debt. She took on many jobs at the same time such as Assassin, Maid, Thief, Knight, Trainer, Master, Tutor, Artist and Dragon Tamer. In fact she tamed a dragon of her own. She's very skilled but even now she still owes up to 7 Million yen. She had borrowed money in the first place to support herself and her sister without parents. It costs her clothes, swords but she has an amazing ability.  It's her back up one, she uses it a lot because I raised her. Sometimes I would ask her to assassination quests to find heroes for me. We made a bet that the person that we assassinate would or wouldn't be a vampire. She said human but I also said you'd be the hero so sorry about that. She's rank 20 of the strongest people in the world, she's 23 and her sister is 21. That's all you really need to know i'm sorry for talking so long." My mind is completely blown by everything I just found out. Tenko then says "Why don't you follow her, that might give you guys a chance to get along." Tenko smiles at me. Her smile makes me a bit happy but i'm second guessing this so I ran out the house and looked around for May.
