Chapter 5: Lured Into A Trap And Meeting May's Sister

Going back into the town seeing people everywhere. I realize everyone has a job and think I should get one too but I have no clue where to even start. I flop and then a girl taps me "Hey are you by any chance Jinsoo?" I nod my head and she hugs me. "Oh my god Jinsoo i've heard stories about you! They say you saved number 20th from dying inside of a thief operation. Is that true?" Although I don't want to take credit for what May did I don't want to let this girl down. "Yeah there were like 100 guys. I fought them all and she even got kidnapped and I saved her. She almost revealed too much." I watch as her eyes sparkle from me telling the story. "I'm Mirai Yanogatori. Her sister, I wanted to tell you thank you so much for saving my sister. I'm your biggest fan." I freak out "Wait you guys are sisters?" I ask and she nods. I then say "Well you know May is super shy so she's prolly going to change up the story on her side if you ask her. She's embarrassed she was saved by someone who isn't stronger than her." Mirai's eyes sparkle again. I then say something I can tell I'm going to regret "Keep this between us to but I think May likes me too." Mirai then says "Oh I'll go ask her if she does. So you want to grab a bite?" I am kind of hungry so I nod and walk to a nearby restaurant with her. I look at the menu and say "So why'd you invite me out to eat?" Her eyes light up and she says "See I'm an assassin just like my sister and so many people have been coming into town. Recently my mission is to guard this place and I remember everyone by face so I've come to tell you I'm here to kill you." I got up and stepped back but she smiled at me. "Why did you get up Jinsoo? If we don't have anything to order the food won't come." She says loud enough for the waiter to hear and come. "What would you 2 like?" The waiter asked us. I see her say her entire order in precise detail. "I want mashed potato, fish boiled just a slight bit after it's originally cooked, some chocolate cake with vanilla on the inside of it, steak and 6 pieces of chicken please." The waiter finishes writing all of that and then looks at me. I stuttered so much I couldn't even talk. Then I see Mirai answer for me. "He'll take the screaming salad with the fear factor dessert." I get surprised and look at the menu and it turns out it's actually a meal choice. The waiter leaves after taking most of our orders down. Mirai then turns to me. "Now tell me did you really save my sister?" I panic and say "No, the truth is she saved me." Mirai smiles and says "That sounds a little more believable." I froze but then I remembered something. "Hey May's the strongest in the world right? What about you?" I ask. Mirai pauses and looks at me. "Hm? She isn't the strongest, she's number 20 but no one really knows her considering she's a thief. If word got out she'd lose her thief job. I'm number 17 but no one knows that either or I'd lose my assassin job." I smile for a minute thinking at least she's stronger but then Mirai says "Oh yeah back to killing you. I don't really want all that stuff I ordered." I ordered it because I knew the waiter was going to be slow on my order so I ordered a lot of stuff." I swallow my spit and then say "Why do you even want to kill me?" Mirai looks at me "Oh it's nothing against you personally. I don't care about you but this city has enough people and day by day new people come it's my job as an exterminator to eliminate the new ones." I get even more nervous and continue backing up. Mirai then opens her eyes wide and says "Oh you think I'm going to do it here you must be crazy there's too many people." Mirai offers her hand to me. I take it and she drags me out of the restaurant and to another area. Once we get in the dark alleyway Mirai says "You seem interesting to say the least but I can sense you're not strong at all, so I'll do this." Mirai raises her hand and the area shifts to something I've never seen before. I then see a bunch of clones of Mirai come at me with swords. I jump, dodge and backflip and the clones keep coming. I do my best to avoid them but no matter how much I avoid them, more keep coming. I turn into a bat to avoid most of them which starts working until one of them cuts my wing off. So I turn back to normal and see my hand is cut off but it's not regenerating. Suddenly I hear, (Choose a skill: Mind resistance or Illusion nullification.) I yell "Illusion nullification!" Then I wake up immediately in the same alleyway. I look around but don't see Mirai anywhere so I walk out the alleyway and surprisingly it's nighttime.

 I decided I'm going back to Tenko's house so I walk back there but in the forest I see a snake and a bear. I get so mad I fight the bear and then I kick the snake and shove the bear on the ground. It gets back up and roars but I activate flame feet and continue kicking it as fast as I can. This gets annoying because it won't go down. I use a heavy hand power ball and hit it in the chest after flash stepping in front of it. The bear is still standing and the more I fight it the more annoying this gets so it starts swinging its claws at me and I get hit on the cheek but I heal in seconds. He swings again and again I dodge doing my best to keep out of air's reach and I run out of ideas. Almost all my moves are for defense except one of them I haven't used yet. So I flash step around the bear confusing it then I hop on its shoulders and bite into it automatically activating health drainer and I drain the bears blood and life force. I jump off of it and continue on my way to Tenko's house then the snake bites me. "AHH!" I yelled and used flame feet again burning the snake to ash but the poison in it was affecting my leg. It hurt like hell. (Choose a skill: Flash beam 20 points or Disappearing strike 10 points.) I say "Disappearing strike." (Choose a skill: Detection or Enhanced Senses.) I remember May has detection. It seems useful but enhanced senses sounds even better. "Enhanced senses." (Choose a skill: Instant healing or Poison immunity.) I also notice the skills that don't require points seems like automatic skills but if that's the case why give me so much good ones? But then I remembered what Tenko said "I shall bless you with the moves you need to beat him by aiding you in your quest and helping you while you learn moves." And I sigh thinking to myself (Now it makes sense.) "Instant healing." I say.
