Chapter 3: A Normal Day For May

I decided to head straight. While i'm walking I spot her. I continue getting closer and closer making sure i'm hiding behind a tree each time. She then stops and says "Stop following me stalker. I won't hesitate to kill you." I freeze and come out of hiding. "How'd you know I was following you?" May rolled her eyes and said "Tenko already told you, im not explaining it again." That's when I remember the detection skill. I felt backed in a corner so I asked her "Well what job are you heading to now?" She hesitated and grabbed my shirt then pulled me in a random bush nearby, she placed her finger on my lips to shush me. I hear 2 guys walking past saying "Did you hear some chick is going to raid the castle today?" The other guy says "No way, what idiot in their right mind would rob the castle? They must've lost their brains." After they walk past us May looks at me with absolute anger. May said in a grouchy voice "Go to my house and don't get in my way." I feel pushed away but she jumps out the bush and I peeked to see where she went but she was already gone. Feeling like she had a reason to shoo me away, I heed her advice and start walking away but the 2 guards catch me and say "What are you doing here?" I put my hands up and the other guard say "He must know about the girl raiding the capital, lets capture him." They tied me up. I started struggling but one of the guards punched me knocking me out. They take me inside the capital. As they are holding me before putting me in the dungeon they was asking me questions. "What's your name?" I don't see the point in of resisting so I say "Jinsoo Hitagashi." They ask me another "Who's the thief raiding the capital tonight?" I hesitated but said "May." They stop in shock and say "What do you know about May?" I hesitate again and say "She's an assassin, thief, dragon tamer, and a bunch of other things." Just as they're about to ask another question I see May behind them. She stabs her sword in one of their necks and and cut the other guard head off. With one of her abilities she makes both of their bodies blow up. May then said "Power clean." Cleaning the entire place spotless. She cuts me free and I get so excited I want to hug her but she aims her sword at my neck with a glare that actually makes me wanna back up.  She then says with a serious voice "I don't care about your well-being pathetic vampire. Follow me." She puts her sword away and jumps inside a air vent that's very high up. I jump and try and grab it but I can't reach it. She then comes back out and looks at me trying. She then says annoyed "I would kill you right here right now for telling them about me but Tenko seems to care about you. Get it together idiot." I keep trying but im unable to reach it. May comes down from the vent and slaps me then turns around and kicks the door open. She runs out and I walk trying to keep up but eventually I had to start running too. I heard "Hey what are you-" Which I can only assume May cut their sentence off by killing them. I continue until May gets to the treasure room.  When I see it I want to touch it but May slaps me and says "The treasure is infused with two deadly kind of poison spells." I see her pull out her gloves and I hear her whistle a tune really loud. "MOYASHI!" I was so confused by what the hell just happened until 3 minutes later. The roof breaks off and I see a gigantic dragon looking at me and May. May then says "Moyashi, I missed you. I got something for you." May pulls out some fish and and tosses it at her and Moyashi eats it. May then says "Good girl. Now I need you to put all this treasure in your mouth don't swallow it just hold it." In a cold chilling and incredibly scary voice I hear "Yes mama." So I see Moyashi eat the treasure and I look at May like she's insane. She turns to me and says "What do you want now? Moyashi's scales prevent her from being affected by any spell no matter how strong. It's a skill called "Luck of the Gods." I sigh relieved and then grabbed May's hand and she dragged me on Moyashi's back. The guards came in and Moyashi flies off as the guards start shooting multiple arrows at us. Moyashi ends up escaping after flying to the mountain of Dragon Kin. She drops us off and May grabs me says something very intensely.

"Listen and listen good vampire, we are not friends, we are not allies we are nothing, not anything close to what you think we are. Never ever follow me on one of my jobs again. The next time you do I won't hesitate to cut you to pieces like I did your brother." I feel incredibly shocked I can't even move my legs and May says "Now good luck getting off of this mountain." May hops on her dragon again and flies away. As I stay on this mountain I look around but I can't even look properly because there's so much snow. I then say out loud "I'm going to beat her ass when I find her again." I see a cave in the distance and I run towards it. After I get inside I tried rubbing my hands together to calm down but I could still feel the cold. I look deeper in the cave and I see 8 sets of eyes watching me. I calm down thinking it's probably just other people so I say "Hey there." I suddenly see the 8 sets of eyes are connected to some tentacle monster. It tries to grab me but I move and jump away then ran out the cave. After getting out the cave I feel cold. I lay on the floor and thought (I guess this is how I die again.) Then I hear (Choose a skill: Temperature Nullification 18 points or Teleportation 40 points.) Seeing there's no way out of this I say very low, "Temperature Nullification." I immediately felt myself warm up and I wake up with  what seems like unlimited energy. I ran to the edge of the mountain and I think (I am immortal right?) I jumped off the mountain hoping I wouldn't die and will be able to get back to Tenko. I fell all the way down the mountain bracing for impact.
