I'm just going to say this so no one gets confused. Unless it says someone else's POV it's Leanna's.

Jake- No Le your not lol

I was sitting on my bed at 9pm, on a Friday night, talking to Jake. We were talking about how I think I'm stupid but Jake says I'm not.

Jake- Le can you call me real quick

Le- Yeah

I called Jake and he picked up on the second ring.

"Hey Le." He sounded very excited about something.

"Hey Jake." I was still confused.

"Do you wanna do something fun like right now?"

"Uh sure. What exactly?"

"I'll be at your house in like 10 minutes, ok?"

"Ok." He didn't tell me where we were going.

I put on some leggings, a hoodie, and my converse. I put my hair in a low ponytail and texted my mom to tell her I was going out. My Holden was at his friend's house so I was home by myself.

I heard Jake's truck pull up in my driveway. I walked outside and climbed into the passenger side.

"Hey Le."

"Hey Jake, where are we going?"

He looked over and smiled like a little kid, "Somewhere really fun and you'll love it."

"Ok well I'm trusting you Jake Grayson."

"Are you sure you should be doing that Leanna Tanner."

We looked at each other and smiled then he started driving.

We drove for about 20 minutes listening to music then we pulled up on this cliff over a lake.

I knew this lake we used to come every summer. But I had never been to this spot before, or I don't think I had. It was the middle of the night and the only lights were two street lamps on the road behind us.

"So what do you think Le?" Jake was smiling so wide.

"It's pretty but it's a little dark."

"Yeah I know I wanted to take you here tomorrow but I couldn't wait."

I started laughing.

"Why are you laughing? Is it like stupid that I brought you here?"

"No Jake not at all."

We just set there for a little bit listening to music and just looking into the darkness. I looked over at Jake.

Seeing the way those two street lights lit up his facial features made me see Jake in a way I never had before. His jawline, his eyes, his li....

"Le?" He interrupted my thoughts, turning and smiling at me staring at him.

"Yeah?" I said not breaking eye contact.

"You're really beautiful." I could feel my cheeks getting red. I smiled.

"Stop Jake. I mean thank you, but you don't have to say that."

He didn't say anything else he just leaned across the console closer to me. Our faces were inches apart and I couldn't look away from his eyes.

"Le?" He said in a shaky voice.

"Yes?" We were still looking into each other's eyes and still very close together.

"Can I kiss you?" I couldn't believe what he had just said. I thought Jake just wanted to be friends.

I knew I wanted to kiss him too. "Yes Jake, you can kiss me."

He leaned in and our lips met. It was soft and warm. He pulled away and looked at me.

I blushed and a smile spread across both our faces.

" I thought you were going to be my adventurous friend?" This was the first time I had ever kissed someone and now I didn't know what to do.

" I am but maybe I could also be more."

It was late, I was in my room, and Jake had dropped me off about an hour ago.

When I got home my mom was at work and my brother was in his room, so I went to mine. Now I was sitting on my bed listening to music. I also happened to be crying.

I know I should be crying because I JUST HAD MY FREAKING FIRST KISS!! But it made me realize I liked Jake. But I shouldn't like him. He's my only friend and if something were to happen I would have no one.

Alone. That's how I've always felt but at least before I could talk to Jos. If something happened to mine and Jake's relationship I would be alone, completely and utterly alone.

It's not like I want to think abbot losing Jake but I can't help it. I don't want to be sad, just don't want to cry, and I don't want to hate everyone and everything but I do. Except for Jake. Jake makes me happy.

So, right now I'm sitting in my dark room, listening to sad music at one am.
