Today when I woke up, I felt unusually calm. My mind was at peace rather than being confused. I looked at Dylan rummaging through his clothes and Rex working out, and I couldn't help but smile. Today's gonna be the best day of this trip.
First, when we reached the Blue Lagoon, the sight caught my breath. It's milky blue water and otherworldly appearance is like something out of a dream. Only after we went there did we find out that Blue Lagoon is a geothermal Spa. There were accommodations, as well as saunas, restaurants & cafes, lockers, showers, etc. Back when we were kids, we used to go to the swimming pool, and today seemed like the best time for recreating memories.

One thing that I never expected was the free Silica Mud. Dylan tried to paint himself like tribal people while we laughed our guts out. When we washed up, we had a beauty contest which was won obviously by Rex. As you already know he has the favor of both of us.
Then we went diving in the Silfra Fissure. I was fascinated to hear that it was actually the only place in the world where you could swim between two continental plates (North American and Eurasian). It's water was crystal clear. Rex couldn't stop looking down as we could clearly see over 100 meters deep underwater. Apparently, it's filtered through underground lava for up to 100 years. The water was so intensely cold that it was nearly freezing. Dylan's teeth were visibly clattering even for hours after. But I loved the dive, and the cold, and the two happy faces beside me.

Next, we went glacier hiking in Solheimajokull Glacier. Blue ice and black volcanic rock appeared like a painting of colors upon the glacier. The blue tint on the ice became my new favorite color.

On a side note, I love ice but I'm terrified of heights. Yep, I'm a scaredy cat. I made a big scene even before starting to climb on the ice. It was super embarrassing but Dylan and Rex assured me and were very close to me the whole climb. When I reached the top, with the two guys beside me, it felt like I'd figured out my whole life. (I still felt like throwing up and fainting). With me in the middle and Dylan and Rex on either side of me holding my hands, we did the trust fall, moonwalking back to the start. Today truly was an unforgettable day in my life.
I don't know what tomorrow has in store for me but I'm gonna make the most of it.
