Chapter Ten: The Big Dinner

Childe and you drive up to the restaurant and all you saw was big lights and people dressed so fancy that most women wore those fluffy scarf around their necks. The building looked big and classical music played throughout the parking lot. You see some of the workers get inside the cars to park for them and others pull up with their car and keys to give to the guests. For a restaurant to do that, that's how you know they had money. Childe pulls up to one of the workers and gives the keys to him. The worker gives Childe a ticket and drives off to park the car.

As you both walk up the staircase, you could hear chatter from inside the restaurant. You walk up to the receptionist who looked tired and frustrated.

"How can I help you?"

"Hi, my friend made a reservation. The name is under Zhongli."

She types it in the computer and asked a waiter to come.

"He'll show you to the table. Enjoy."

Childe and you follow the waiter and you saw Zhongli sitting at the table, along with Xinyan and Xiangling. They spot you walking towards them and they rush over to you.

"Y/N!" They shouted. People around started looking at them but they didn't care. All they cared about was you and seeing you once again.

"Hey ladies! How you been?"

"We're good." Xiangling says. She looks over and sees that Childe stood behind you yet again.

"Childe! It's nice to see you again."

Xiangling gives him a light hug while Xinyan reaches her hand out. He shakes her hand and lightly hugs Xiangling. You figured Xinyan still wouldn't like Childe because of what she said last time. But it's fine, she'll grow to like him just like you did. You all walk over to the table and Zhongli stands up and fixes his suit. You walk over and greet him.

"Hey Zhongli." You put one arm around him giving him a light hug and Zhongli returns the hug. You both let go and look at Childe.

"Zhongli, this is my boyfriend Childe."

Childe smiles and reaches out his hand. Zhongli looks down and shakes his hand.

"It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise."

You could tell it was a firm handshake. They let go and take a seat. Childe pulls out the chair for you and you sit down beside him. Zhongli sits across from you, Xinyan sat next to you while Xiangling sat beside her and there were only two seats left. You knew Yunjin would come but you didn't who else would be joining you.

"Zhongli, who else is coming?"

"Hu Tao. She said she would be late."

"Omg! I haven't talked to her in so long I hope she's doing okay."

"Well ask her she's right behind you." Zhongli points behind you as you slowly turn around. You see Hu Tao grinning at Zhongli.

"You know you're really no fun. I was trying to scare her."

You jump up and hug her. She returns the hug as you both swung side to side hugging one another. You haven't seen Hu Tao since last year. She's been traveling and going abroad the last time you spoke to her. She smiles and looks over at Childe, who she's never seen before.

"Who's this handsome fella?"

"The names Childe. I'm Y/N's boyfriend. It's nice to meet you." He chuckles and reaches for a handshake. She grips it and shakes his hand.

"Well Childe, it is a pleasure to meet you. And I've missed you guys so much!"

"We missed you too! Tell us everything!"
