The night was coming to an end and the restaurant was closing. Once you all finished eating, it was time to pay. The waiter Chris, comes over with the bill and gives it to Zhongli. He takes the bill and slides his card inside. Chris takes it back and ways away. You try not to make much eye contact considering he just gave you his number and you felt weird about it.
"Thank you guys for coming." Zhongli said taking a sip of his drink.
"I'm glad we could be here! Thanks for everything Zhongli!" Xiangling said with excitement. You all begin to thank him as Zhongli raises his glass.
"Let us make a toast."
You all take your glasses and raise them up.
"To new beginnings and friendships. To Y/N and Childe, whose love will grow stronger together and have a long lasting, healthy relationship."
"Cheers!" You all say in sync, bringing your glasses in the middle making a "cling"sound. You all take a sip and Chris comes back with the receipt and card and hands it back to Zhongli.
"You guys are all set. Thank you guys for coming and enjoy the rest of your night.
You all say thank you and begin to get up out of your seats. You grabbed your purse and walked towards the door.
"I gotta use the bathroom, wait for me guys!" Xiangling runs to the bathroom near the entrance door. You suddenly needed to use the bathroom as well now that Xiangling had mentioned it. You turn to tell Childe.
"I'll be back, I'm gonna use the bathroom too."
"Alright baby. I'll wait here."
You walk to the bathroom and noticed Hu Tao and Xinyan behind you. You turn to face them.
"Might as well go with ya. Let them talk alone." Xinyan says grabbing your arm. This was a chance to let them talk one on one. Man to man.
You go into the bathroom and saw Xiangling washing her hands. It seemed like you ladies were the only one in there. Xinyan, Hu Tao and you go into separate stalls and do your business. Once you were done, you came out to wash your hands.
"What do you think about him Hu Tao?" You asked drying off your hands. There was silence for a moment and you see her coming out of the stall with a disgusted look.
"Not to be rude Y/N, but something isn't right with him. I can sense it."
"Like what?" You trusted Hu Tao's gut feeling more than Xinyan. Not to be rude, but there's been countless of times where she had a "gut feeling" and she turned out to be wrong. So you sat back and listened.
"He seems off. Don't get me wrong, he's a chill guy and very handsome at that but the way he was talking, his demeanor, and how he was explaining the way you guys met, he seems possessive and obsessed with you."
You wanted to believe her but at the same time, you didn't. You started to reflect back on the things Childe and you have done together and how he treated you. You recalled some of the things he's said to you but never did you once find him to be "obsessed" or "possessive" with you. He always gave you time and relax and calm down. He wasn't violent or demanding with you. He was gentle. You see Xinyan come out of the stall last and saw both washing their hands.
"Well, I think his a cool guy. I didn't sense anything wrong with him. Just trust your heart Y/N. I think you've found a keeper." Xiangling comes over and hugs you, reassuring you that everything will be fine.
"Listen Y/N, we just care about you and your well being. We're not saying ditch the guy right away but just a warning. Just take a step back and try to notice what we see." Xinyan says as she dries her hands off.
