Chapter Six: A Long Time Friend

After a long night, you wake up to the sound of you alarm. It was 8:30 AM and you had to get ready for work. You notice Childe spooning you and try to get up as quietly as possible. You scoot to the side and sit up from the bed. You feel your head start to spin from the sudden movement. You try not to groan and stood up to go to the bathroom. As you walked, you could feel your legs about to give out.

"It's his fault..."

Once you finished showering and doing your business, you come out of the bathroom and saw Childe still sleeping soundly on your bed. You grab your clothes from the closet and started getting ready. You heard Childe toss and turn in the bed.

"Babe?" He groaned in a raspy tone.

You turn around and see Childe sitting up.

"I'm right here."

You sit down beside him on the bed. He puts his head on your shoulder and holds your hand.

"Do you have to go? Can't you just stay here with me?"

It was rare for Childe to be clingy. Usually he'd understand and not be whiny about anything.

"Yes, but I'll be back at six."

He looks down and notices that you only had your work shirt on and underwear exposed, revealing all his marks on you. He gently rubs across them and chuckles.

"What's so funny?"

"Seeing these marks I made on your thighs reminded me of how much you moaned when I did them." He said in a low tone, still with his raspy voice. "I guess I found another sweet spot on you."

You turn red at his sentence and start fidgeting with your hand. He picks his head up and kisses you on the cheek.

"I'll see you later right?"

"Yeah..." You said embarrassed.

You stand up and feel him slap your ass. You quickly turn around and saw him smirking. You were gonna say something but you decided to leave it alone.

Sooner or later, Childe gets up and starts getting ready to leave. Once you both were dressed, it was time to head out.

You parked your car and headed inside. You greeted your fellow peers and colleagues as you entered the building. Once you clocked in, you headed to your office to find your boss standing next to the window.

"Zhongli?"

He turns around and greets you with a smile.

"Y/N, it's good to see you."

He walks over and gives you a hug. You were pretty close with your boss and never found it awkward to be around him, nor intimidated by him. You knew Zhongli for a long time and was always close with him. He even gave you this job on the spot once he became the CEO.

"Are you feeling better?" You asked.

"Yes, much better. I heard you went to see Yunjin preform. How was it?"

"It was beautiful. You should've seen it, her costume was amazing and the music was outstanding! I got some videos of it so I can show you later."

"I'd like that. Also I heard that your 'boyfriend' was there as well."

The only person you thought of was Xiangling. She'd always go and tell Zhongli your business. You roll your eyes, figuring out who told what.

"Xiangling told you didn't she?"

"I shall not name any names."

You let out a sigh. You wanted to wait a little longer before telling Zhongli because you didn't know how he would take it.
