CHAPTER FIVE:
'The Cafeteria...'

"The food here is so much
better than my old school." Nabi commented and used her metal chopsticks to pick up the Kimbap side dish.

"I think we should move." Namra uttered with a look of discomfort. Her eyes glued to something in the distance.

Nabi scrunched her face together in confusion. "Why?" She questioned and turned around to see what had caught the other girls attention.

The four familiar males looked around the hall before making their way towards the two girls. "Move." The platinum blonde grumbled, standing at the head of the table.

"Why should we? We were here first." Nabi spoke but only received a kick under the table from Namra, who was obviously terrified.

"This is our table." A taller boy with black hair and white highlights snapped. He looked younger than the others but his height made it look like he was the oldest.

Nabi faked a gasp and looked around the table. "Well.. I can't seem to find your names." She smirked with an awkward tone.

Sunghoon let out a scoff and placed one of his hands on the table before leaning closer to the raven haired girl.

"I don't care if you're new to school." He spat and looks at the girl up and down. "Move."

Nabi glared into his eyes, she wasn't afraid of him. She had no reason to be.

"Come on Nabi, let's just go." Namra said and reached out to grab the girls hand and attempt to drag her away.

"Yeah, you should listen to your friend." Another boy with black hair and a incredibly sharp jaw commented as he sat down.

Nabi let out a huff and began walking away while Namra trailed behind her. "It's ok, we can just sit somewhere else!" The shorter girl positively reassured.

Nabi kicked her shoes off and yanked her tie off. "You're home late." Her mother's voice called out as she approached the girl with a basket in her hands.

"I missed the first bus and had to wait for the second one." Nabi calmly explained and attempted to walk past her mum, but instead the basket was forced into her hands.

"I want you to take this next door, let them know we are approachable." The older women smiled making Nabi wear a face of annoyance.

"Why can't you do it? Take Juyeon with you, people love small kids." She declined and tried to hand the basket back.

"I want you to do it, I heard they have a son who's around your age too." She stated and wiggled her eyebrows.

"So..?" Nabi trailed and showed a confused expression. Her mother only scoffed and shook her head in disbelief as she pushed her daughter out the door and handed her shoes back to her.

The teenage girl rolled her eyes and angrily walked out of their garden and into their next door neighbours.

Pretty trees and small fountains decorated the landscape. "Whoa.." Nabi commented in amazement.

It looked like it belonged in a completely different area compared to her house.

She walked along the stone pathway and up to the cute porch. A sweet leafy reef hung on the door, creating a prettier affect.

She raised her petite hand up and knocked on the wooden door, her pupils dilated with happiness and comfort.

"Hello-" she cut herself off as the wide smile dropped from her face. Her eyebrows met in the middle as her eyes darkened.

"Oh, specs!" The boy smirked, he stood half hidden behind the door and half out. He wore a short sleeved baggy white shirt and black loose joggers, his blonde hair messily met in the middle while gaming headphones hung around his neck. "Are you stalking me?" He questioned and faked a gasp while smacking his hand against his chest in shock.

"Get over yourself." She scoffed and rolled her eyes, she held out the basket without the warm smile she had practiced on her way over.

"My mum told me to bring you and your family these, so enjoy." She said and turned around to walk off when she was abruptly stopped.

"Wait! Specs." He called out, this time stepping onto his porch and closing the door behind him.

Nabi stuffed her hands into her pockets and lazily turned to look at the male.

"Did you just move in next door?" He asked and Nabi nodded in response. "See you around."

Nabi knew what he meant by this. Now he could see her whenever he walked out to his garden and on his way home from school.

"Doubt it." She commented making him raise his brow with a smirk. He leaned his torso forward, creating less of a gap between the two.

"How so?"

"I'll have you know, I have an older brother who is very protective of me." She lied. Why did she have to say that, her brother was actually five years old and spends all day playing with Thomas the tank engine fingerings.

Sunghoon stood up straight and shrugged, "see you in school, specs."
