It sucks. It's life changing, devastating and a pathetic feeling when you loose your loved one. It leaves you depressed, it forces you to live in guilt and breaks you day by day. It is just so damn bad. You feel like your life will never go back as it used to be. You feel no hope left in your lives and the only emotion left in our body is of remorse.
There are situations when you feel like you could have appreciated your loved one's more when they were present than living in their memories post they are gone, because memories always hurts whether they are good or ugly.
Losing someone is a huge void that can never be filled and the most petrifying part of it is that the memory never leaves you behind.
Kavya was feeling the similar void in her heart which was unbearable for her. However the worst part was that she remember her memories full of different shades with her parents but how she lost them was something which was nowhere found in her memory.
She only knows from Viraj, that she was going on a shopping spree with her parents but unfortunately their car had a bad accident taking her parents away from her.
The day she woke up she only had Viraj besides her trying to console her but no person can provide the comfort and security which a parent's warmth and love can provide.
Post that accident Viraj shifted from Mumbai to Goa permanently with Kavya to take her away from all the unpleasant memories but nobody can replace a memory from someone's mind because memories are meant to stuck with you for a lifetime.
Kavya was standing in her room's balcony and was looking at the moon. The other day she had her parents' death anniversary though Viraj had made all the preparations for the day but her mind and heart where still not at peace. It had been a year that she hadlost them but there was not a single day when she hadn't prayed to God to send her parents back to them.
However the cruel reality is that person who leaves the world never returns back with which we as individuals never get accustomed with.
Kavya's mind was going through several thoughts, she understood her husband's concern for her but her heart wanted to perform the rituals for her parents at her birth place. She was stuck in the middle and it ripped her heart to core.
"Kavya why are you standing there? Come let's lay down. We have to get up early tomorrow for the Pooja(Prayer for her parents)" Viraj mumbled while looking at the back of her wife. He saw her making no movement and he instantly realised that she was stuck deep in her thoughts.
Viraj sauntered towards Kavya and stood besides her.
"You know I was fifteen when I lost my parents, I was a kid having nowhere to go. It was a time when I was hardly able to comprehend the loss I had went through but with passing days when I had to struggle on my own and live on my own I realised what is the worth of a family. That loss made me realise a lot of emotions. There were situations when I needed my mother's warmth the most but I didn't had any. In many situations I wanted somebody to protect me like my father but instead of that life taught me to stand up for myself.
Every person deserves a parent's love but then I understood that probably I am not that lucky to have somebody like that in my life and the day when I saw you crying for your parents in the hospital I took an oath to protect you from all the evil. I have seen many hardships, I have seen people betraying me, their jealousy, their frustration, thier anger towards me. I have encountered all but I never want you to go through the same. That's why I'll do whatever I can in my power to keep you safe and away from negative thoughts."
All these words leaving Viraj's mouth had left a deep impact on Kavya's mind. She had no idea what Viraj had gone through and what sort of past he had. They had been married by Kavya's parent's just a week before their death leaving the couple in a sensitive place.
Kavya felt the need to comfort her husband and the urge to provide solace to Viraj was quite overpowering her senses. She moved towards in his direction and hugged her husband instantaneously. She kept her head near his chest and the erratic heartbeats of Viraj made her sigh in relief. Truth to be said she was quite happy and satisfied that her mere presence can be this comforting and electrifying for her husband.
Both of them parted from each other after a couple of minutes and stared at each other with utmost sincerity and affection.
"Let's sleep." Viraj said to which Kavya nodded, while smiling a little.

It was the next morning when Viraj shifted in his sleep and tried taking his wife in his arms however to his astonishment the side against his own was empty, which made him feel perplexed.
He instantly woke up and saw around the room, there was no sign of Kavya. He thought that probably she would be in the washroom or the kitchen. He started talking kavya's name to check on her but the lack of response started increasing the panic inside him.
He hurriedly wore his sleepers and was about to check the lawn when he saw a note lying near the table.
To My Viraj,
I know that this note would definitely make you furious on me and you have all the rights to be but I was not able to sleep the entire night, there was an unknown feeling that had kept me on the edge. The heart-wrenching feeling of losing my parents is taking a toll on me. I have been missing them a lot, and their death anniversary has left me unsettled. It seems like a dark power is overpowering me and till the moment I don't go back at my place I won't be at peace. There's this unknown regret and guilt from which I want to be free. I am so sorry for leaving you alone but I promise I'll be back soon. Please don't be upset with me, all I have is you only. I'll be back within two days.
Your Kavya.
