Present Day:

Kavya's chest laid still, the movement in her body went silent, Kavya's beautiful eyes which had taken Viraj's breath away at the first sight were now empty causing Viraj to scream loudly.

Everyone around Viraj was screaming at the top of their voices but no loud noise was able to flinch Viraj. An ambulance came making it's way, and soon kavya was laid on a stretcher. The help assistance asked Viraj to follow their ambulance however he refused to come separately, he entered inside and sat in the back of the ambulance silently staring at his wife, throughout the long drive to the hospital. The journey was bone-shattering to Viraj and he was feeling sick watching Kavya's facial colour draining out.

After an exhausting journey, the team landed at the hospital and took Kavya inside the ICU for her treatment. Viraj aimlessly sat on a chair besides the wall, dread filled his heart.

"Viraj don't worry, everything will be alright, she will be fine. The doctor's are treating her and have faith in God, he will not snatch your only source of happiness." Rishabh said consoling his friend hard however his own eyes were moistened because of the unpredictable future.

"You know Rishabh, there was a period of my life where I felt like I was walking this journey alone. Though I had you along with me but constantly I felt like I didn't belong anywhere, I didn't quite fit in the environment. I had lost my parents and post that incident all my nights have been a horrible tormenting experience for me. I would wake up in the middle of the nights from horrendous dreams of loss, destruction and death.

Through all of my struggles in my life the loss of losing my family was quite unbearable and then suddenly my horrid memories and terrible feelings present in my heart passed in a jiffy.

Because suddenly Kavya came along in my life.

She came along and I was able to fit in the place, it felt like I was home. She was a comforting person for me, she was the one with whom I felt my wounds being healed. It felt like my heart finally belonged to someone.

And yet, the lingering fear of loss has hung over me since then. When I met her it was hard for me to tell her about my identity though she befriended me but the fear of her knowing the truth never left me alone and at last that day came when she was aware about my mafia related activities and then the reality came crashing down on me that two different people can never be together.

However our life twisted in such a way that it brought us together at the cost of her dignity. I can never forgive myself as her friend and husband for what happened with her that day. I can't forgive myself that I have still not killed that bastard to avenge my wife's scars and miseries.

And then again for the second time she got to know about my identity after losing her memories, this entire cycle has haunted me to the core of my heart. I can't forgive myself if anything happened to her."

"Shh--dont cry Viraj. Don't cry." Rishabh mumbled and both the friends hugged each other feeling overwhelmed with the heavy emotions in their heart.

Both the friends were waiting with the heavy hearts for the doctor to come back with a positive news when in meanwhile a police inspector came rushing towards them.

"Sir, we would like to inform you that we would be increasing the security around the hospital and both of you are advised to stay here only." The constable said in a hushed manner.

"Security but why?" Risbhab questioned feeling puzzled.

"Sir, the culprit Himanshu had ran away and we are trying to track him down however our senior has suggested to increase the security just in case---" The constable uttered though he was coldy interrupted in between by Viraj.
