2. Fear of Losing You

Fear is a petrifying feeling it always leads to dark path. Fear is a sentiment which gives birth to consternation, ferocity, hate and suffering.

Viraj was going through a similar sensation, the fear hidden inside his heart was making it impossible for him to survive in peace.

It had been 2 days Since that conversation between Viraj and Kavya and to say things had become intricated between them would be an understatement. Kavya tried approaching Viraj and tried her level best to clear things out and come on a conclusion with her husband, but Viraj's apprehension made him do the opposite. Instead of sitting with Kavya and listening to her he was running away from her.

Fear makes us do things which have always haunted us.

It was late in the night, when Viraj came from his workspace to his bedroom and saw Kavya was fast asleep, she was curled up in the warm blankets making her glow adorably in Viraj's eyes. He moved towards the centre mirror table in their room and removed his watch and kept it beside the table. His eyes went towards the tray of food lying on the table, which Kavya had placed it for him. He grinned like a Cheshire cat because of his wife's concern from him
and went towards the washroom to freshen up first.

After a long and relaxing shower Viraj sat on the bed taking the tray of food in his hand.

"I know you are awake and you have not had your dinner yet. You know I am really not fond of you starving yourself." Viraj said sounding stern which made Kavya open her eyes instantly. She was still lying on her back but was now staring at the ceiling above.

"I hope you also know that I really don't appreciate you ignoring me." Kavya mumbled silently showing her displeasure.

"I was not ignoring you my love, I just had lot's of stuff on my mind." Viraj uttered feeling hurt because of his wife's gloomy face.

"I tried speaking with you regarding the issue but all you did was to ignore me and focus on your work. I know you have a lot of work load from your office but never before you did this with me. Never before you have given more priority to your work than me. Then why are you behaving weirdly this time? Is anything bothering you? Did I do anything wrong?" Kavya questioned now sitting and staring at her husband directly.

"Kavya listen to me carefully alright." Viraj said and cupped her wife's face with his warm hands. Both of them were looking at each other intently in their hearts they were aware about the concern they held for each other.

"I am so sorry, my intention was not to make you feel ignored or make you feel alone. I seriously had a lot of things going on in my mind but just know that nothing is important to me than you. Even if I have my restrictions, my insecurities, my priority will always be your happiness. Since you came in my life my happiness had no bounds. Even though there are things where I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone or there are situations where I don't feel brave enough to leave you on your own in the presence of huge crowds of strangers I still do that so that you don't feel suffocated in my presence I want you to know that for me you will always be my number one priority and I can go to any extent for you." Viraj mumbled with utmost sincerity making Kavya chock on her tears.

"I am so sorry it's just that it's been an year that I have lost my parents in that accident and the worst part is that I don't even remember anything, probably because of that I felt overwhelmed and I wanted to do the rituals for my parents death anniversary in my native place." Kavya said while sobbing and curled up within her husband's body seeking the warmth and protection which Viraj had always provided her with.

The moment Viraj heard Kavya mumbling about the accident and her memories he closed his eyes praying to all the Gods above in hope of Kavya leaving this conversation over here. He felt kavya's body curling against his own and all he in the current scenario could do was to only hold her against himself.
