Chapter 11

Next Morning

Alec was only able to get like 4 hours of sleep maybe even less than that. After some of the revelations that occurred or could possibly occur, the only thing he could do last night was toss and turn. He needs to get some answers. 'And that's what I'm going to do.'

As soon as he gets up, he showers then gets dressed to go to Dom's house, determine to talk to his mom. He arrives there in just 5 minutes (because the high ranked house's aka the Alpha's, Beta's, Gamma's and Delta's surround the pack house). He knocks on the door then waits for someone to answer, hopefully that someone is Riley. A few minutes later Dom sadly opens the door first.

'Damn I thought he would've been out of the house by now!' Derek exclaims.

'Well I guess I didn't think to check the time before I left. Now I need to make up a good excuse for him to leave.' Alec internally replies.

"Hey Alec what are you doing here?" Dom asks.

But before I can answer his question, Dana, one of the Dark Crescent warriors mind links Alpha Alec, "Alpha, Beta Dom is needed now but I'm not able to mind link him. His mindlink is blocked."

"I'm currently with him right now I will let him know." He mindlinks her back.

"Well your mindlink is blocked and Dana is trying to get a hold of you. She seems to need you for something." Alec explains, thankful that he was able to find a reasonable excuse at such short notice.

"Not to sound rude but why didn't she just come here to tell me instead of you?" Beta Dom asks while leaning against the doorframe.

"Well I've been a bit stressed out, so I decided to take a bit of a break and coincidentally Dana mindlinked me when I was already passing by your house. Though I'm sure she would've came if I wasn't already nearby." Alec answers with part of the truth because he is currently feeling a bit stressed but that's obviously not the real reason as to why he's there. He doesn't need to know everything...just yet.

"Well ok then I'll be right back then I'll go with you." Dom thankfully falls for his best friend's excuse.

"No I'm not needed there so I'm gonna continue taking advantage of my free time." Alec instantly replies then waves good bye while walking away. Though as he moves further away, he walks at a slow-pace so he can be able to sense Dom when he leaves.

About 5 minutes later Dom's out of the house jogging in the direction towards the pack house. Alec waits a minute or two to make sure Dom's not close by and once he's sure of it, he then jogs back to Dominic's house to knock on the door once again, waiting for Riley to answer this time.

"Oh hello Alec I thought you left with Dom." Riley says once she opens the door and sees him on the other side.

"Mrs. Riley, I really need to discuss something with you. And I don't think you would like Dom to hear about it just yet." He briefly states to her, not hinting out anything. Because there could be a possibility that if he tells her what he's found she won't give him the answers he's looking for.

"Oh ok. I hope it's not about anything bad." She nervously replies.

"Well Mrs. Riley that is for you to determine. Now please may I come in so we can start our chat?" She steps back from the door and gestures for him to come in. Once he steps inside, she closes the door then they both walk towards the living room to sit on the nearest sofa.

"Alec dear would you like something to drink before we start?" She kindly offers.

"No ma'am I'm fine."

She nods then waits for him to speak. But before he says anything, Alec takes out Daniel's journal from his jacket pocket and places it on her lap. She looks at him with confusion then opens the journal to see the inside cover. She must have seen who it belongs to, seeing as she quickly slams the book shut and gives it back to him, almost like the book was poisonous.

"What is the meaning of this Alec?! Why do you have that?! And how did you get it?!"

"Well I'm sure your son has already told you that he was in Blue Moon Territory yesterday." She didn't answer but the look in her eyes says it all.

He continues, "I had my suspicions about Blue Moon, so I went to search for their file. And to my surprise half of it was missing, that half mentions the history of the pack and of the Alpha's family. Since there are so many file cabinets filled with pack information, I search in my father's office and in the late Beta's office too. I don't know how but once I look through his desk a secret compartment opens from the side and I find this journal."

He lifts the journal up for her to see. "And I open it to read on the inside cover that says Property of D.Torres then I read the first journal entry and find out how you two met. Also how you were being hunted by witches because this BIG SECRET that involves not only your heart but Dom's too."

She still keeps quiet but her hands start to tremble and her eyes get watery. "Then once you guys escaped your pack, you bumped into some rogues then some Girl saved you all but for a certain price, your son. After I read that entry I skim through and find the other half of the Blue Moon file with random notes. Then I decide to read the last entry which happened to be the day that Daniel left. It talks about how he was going to New Orleans to meet a Dr. Oliver Beckett to find the solution to the problem with this Girl that he mentions in the beginning. So Mrs. Riley all I ask is for some answers, because if this involves Dom in anyway, not only should I be informed seeing as I'm the Alpha but I'm also his bestfriend. And Dom also deserves to know the truth too."

As he talks a few tears slip from her eyes, she takes a deep breath then begins to explain her side of the story and what truly happened all those years ago.

"I am a faery also known as fae not a real werewolf but with my magic I can make it seem like I am a full blooded werewolf. Where as my father was one but I didn't get that gene. That's why those witches were hunting for my heart, the heart of a fae is very powerful and well since Dom is half wolf, half fae his heart is just as powerful. But Dom's powers are dormant to protect him. And the girl well at first I thought she wanted his heart but supposedly that's not the reason she was planning to Dom. Daniel planned to go to New Orleans to find a way to kill her or weaken her so she couldn't take away Dom but on the way to New Orleans she found out and killed him."

She cries, Alec gets her a tissue to clean her nose.

"And why doesn't Dom know?! Why did you make him believe that Daniel left you guys?!" Alec asks, trying to contain the anger that is boiling up inside of him. Alec has always consider and will forever continue to consider Dominic as a brother, he is family and family doesn't deserve this horrible secrets.

"I didn't know how to tell him, I still don't and I promised Daniel that I wasn't going to tell him once she was either dead or weakened." She explains. Alec doesn't quite believe her side of the story but still continues to listen, since that's all he can do right now.

"So, who is this girl? What does she have to do with Blue Moon?"

"Her name is........."

"Alpha Santos you have a visitor." Mabel, one of the female guards of Blue Moon states once sheenters theFemale Alpha's office.

"Bring the visitor in please." Katrina replies not looking up as she continues working.

A few minutes before later she hears a soft knock thensomeone entersthe room. She looks up to see Mabel and anunfamiliar man step inside her office.

"Mabel you may leave." Kat instructs then gestures for her unexpected visitor to sit down.

"So what can I do today Alpha?" She asks, it wasn't very hard to tell that he is anAlpha by the dominances and aura that is radiating off of him but then again itwas quite different than any other ordinary Alpha.

"Well I think I should be completely honest with you before I ask forfavors." He explains.

"Ok? About what?" She asks confused.

"I know everything Alpha Santos or can I call you Katrina maybe Kat? Iknow about your parents, how you became Alpha. I know about what you did manyyears back when you saved that poor family from rogues. But wanted to take awaytheir precious son. I think I understand ghe true reason behind it all but Istill have my doubts. But know this you won't get away with whatever sick planyou have in store." The man in front of her stands up and dramaticallyslams his hand on her desk leaning in close.

'Seems to me that he's trying to intimidate us.' Arabella growls.

"And who the hell do you think you are coming into my territory talkingbullshit?! You know nothing!" Katrina angrily gets up from her chair and leans closer to him.

"I am your worst nightmare. You see we have quite a few friends in commonone that you met yesterday that means a lot to me." He answers calmlysitting down again.

"Oh really and who might that be?" She casually replies not even remotely intimidated by his threats.

"Dominic Torres." Was all he says.

"I will ask this again, who are you?!" She strongly asks, if he doesn't answer I will have no other choice but to use my Alphavoice. Though her Alpha voice probablywouldn't work with another Alpha, she is just more than an Alpha.

"My name is Alec Matthews, Alpha of the Dark Crescent Pack."
