unfortunately for taehyun, they had to speak with a doctor and do tests for about an hour. until they determined that he had to stay at the hospital until he was recovered.
"i'm sorry, honey, but mommy has to go now." his mom crouched down to him.
tears overflowed his eyes. he couldn't even see his mom anymore from his tears.
"m-mommy! don't go!" he cried in his mom's arms.
"i'm sorry, baby, i have to go to work. how else will i pay for your stay here?" she sighed and kissed his forehead. "i promise when you get discharged we can go get icecream."
taehyun sniffled and nodded, watching his mom's figure slowly get smaller and smaller as she walked away. his eyes followed her until she was not in sight anymore.
"c'mon, taehyun. it's okay. i can exchange you to a room with a friend, if you'd like?" the doctor, dr. jung, squatted down to him and smiled.
"o-okay." taehyun wrapped his small hand around the elder's pointer finger and followed him to his new room.
room 304.
taehyun gulped before taking a step in.
"beomgyu, i brought a new friend for you!" dr. jung happily said, gaining the attention of the boy on the bed.
"..really?" the small boy said, his eyes wide open.
"yes, meet taehyun." the elder brought said boy forward.
"hi.." taehyun shyly said.
"hello." the other boy said quietly, almost like a whisper.
"you two get to know each other, i'll be back soon." dr. jung smiled and left.
