beomgyu woke up lonely again. just like before. he wasn't used to waking up alone anymore. now, he was back to square one. was it selfish of him to wish taehyun had a worse injury so he could've stayed longer?
he looked over to the empty bed next to him frowned. its only been a day without the cheerful younger, but beomgyu was missing him. badly.
he looked up to the calendar. march 15th. a few days after his 10th birthday.
he sighed sadly and sat back in his bed. suddenly, he remembered a promise he made with taehyun. the promise that taehyun would visit everyday.
taehyun must've forgotten, because he was all alone. his frown grew as he thought more about it.
he faced his body towards taehyun's old bed and reminisced.
suddenly, his vision turned black. he panicked, not knowing what's going on.
"guess whoo~" a familiar voice sang, immediately calming beomgyu down.
"t-taehyun?" he put a hand on the familiar arm.
"ding ding ding!" taehyun removed his hands from beomgyu's eyes. beomgyu turned his head to look at taehyun, his eyes brightening up instantly.
"i missed you, taehyun." he couldn't contain his smile any longer.
"i missed you, too!" taehyun hugged the older. "i got you a present!" he smiled.
"really? what is it?" beomgyu looked at him with big and curious eyes.
taehyun picked up the bag he placed on the floor and gave it to beomgyu. "open it!" he said, eagerly.
"o-okay!" beomgyu said.
he peeked inside the bag, his eyes widening. he pulled out a stuffed bear and smiled.
"i remember seeing this in a cartoon before i went to the hospital. i didn't know they were real!" he beamed.
"what will you name it?" taehyun put his hands behind his back. he had such a big grin plastered on his face, it was unbelievable.
"hyun. i wanna name it after you." the boy hugged the stuffed bear.
"you're my favorite person, taehyun." he looked at the younger.
"you're mine, too."
