♡°•●○___________________________○●•°♡SOME TIME LATER
♡°•●○___________________________○●•°♡Samir insisted that he buy me a laptop. And he did. I could've afforded it myself with some savings I had in my account, but he wouldn't go shopping with me until I promised him that I'll let him pay. It hurt my pride, I guess. It was something I had to accept. He was a little traditional, and I liked that. But for someone to buy me something so expensive was too much.
It was my first day today. It was only an introduction, but the day after would be the real thing. Samir was so supportive. He said he would drop me and pick me up whenever I wanted. It was very sweet of him, but I insisted on taking the bus, and if there ever was an emergency, I would ask him.
But since it was the first day, he insisted on dropping me off so that there was one less thing to worry about. I was kind of glad. It was comforting.
"Call me if you need anything." He stated, concern plastered over him face.
I nodded, giving him a beaming smile. I was nervous but more excited. I wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you." I mumbled sincerely. He returned the hug, squeezing me gently for a brief moment. "See you later, doll." He replied. I pulled away, looking up at him. I could see it in his eyes. He was happy for me. He wanted me to complete my dreams. He wasn't doing me a favour by letting me go. He cared.
He leaned down, giving me a quick peck on my lips. I released him and immediately felt his warmth leave me. I already... missed him. But he was right here. Not for long, though. He stepped away from me and opened the door of his car, lowering himself into it.
"Go on." He nodded with a smile. I bit my lip and waved at him before turning around and leaving. I walked across the campus to the entrance before turning around one last time. He was still watching me and winking when he saw me looking back. I held back a smile, but my blush made it obvious that his action had made me feel flustered. I turned around quickly, my stomach feeling full with butterflies.
This time, I walked straight in. Not turning around. Otherwise, we would be doing this all day.
I quickly collected my ID card and timetable, trying to navigate across the halls to find out where I was going. There were a few helpers around for the newcomers. But I felt too shy to approach them. Luckily, they noticed that I was a little lost and guided me to where I was supposed to go.
I carefully opened the door to the seminar room to see it almost full of people. The majority turned around to see who entered. I quickly looked down and walked to the nearest seat at the front.
An older woman walked into the room, and the students fell silent.
"Welcome to your introductory seminar. This will be a brief session about what you should expect this year, your modules, exams, coursework, and other things."
I continued listening to her. The course already sounded so hectic. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to keep up, but I was going to try my best. It was a very detailed session, so anything that was important I noted it down in case. After the session was over, she gave the students a chance to ask questions. After the session was over, everyone made their way out, including me.
I took a deep breath and looked around. I found another girl who seemed to be unsure, Just like me, we both look Lost. She gave me a smile and took a step towards me.
"Hey, i'm juliet. Do you want to hang out?" She asked confidently with a beaming smile.
" Hi, I'm Zahara, it's nice to meet you. Of course, I would love to hang out with you."
