All Aether could see is blackness...

He couldn't see himself, not even his light skin of his arms, hands and feet...

But all he could feel is the cold... This is not like what he had felt when he is in a void before he had fell into the vortex.

And the next... he felt something damp and wet. And he felt something heavy on his chest... And he could feel himself as if he's drowning...

He struggled to move his arms and eyes... And it was only several seconds until he finally and slowly comes around... He appeared to be lying down face first into the wet and muddy ground on the riverbank. As he regains consciousness, he slowly rolls himself over allowing him to lie on his back to be able to breathe enough for him to get himself up, spatting out from his mouth to clear out any dirt and mud...

As he looked around, all he could see is more blackness, but around him he could somehow see it through the dark. There is a dimly white hue across the nightly sky. Looking up, he could see the stars and a bright moon. It gleamed and glistened brightly which is how it helped him see the surroundings.

Thie moon and the stars led him to believe at first that he is still in Teyvat, except... when he looked around... there is no one else there. Nothing around him by the stream of the creek, wet bushes, thick canopy of trees and darkness around him with the occasional sounds of wings flapping and owl hooting sounds that spooked him at first... The smell of the breeze and the atmosphere, it is quite different than the current world he used to before he and several of his friends were enveloped and wiped from oblivion by the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles... It became more evident when he noticed that the trees around him looked nothing like what he had seen in Teyvat.

Aether walks towards the river and proceeds to wash himself up. Using his hands, he was able to wash off most of the mud off from his face and some from his outfit. Soon, he began wandering around the cold dark forest with no one around but silence. While doing som he called out the first two people he knew of from his mind by calling out to them, which are Paimon and Lumine, who he had been with them for quite a while... He sometimes yelled out for Paimon and then Lumine, if they are still around... Eventually, he went on to shouting out other names as he began to explore across the forest in hopes of finding a way out... First it was Ganyu, then Ningguang, to Beidou, Zhongli, Raiden Ei, and Amber... The list goes on... But no matter whichever person he tries to call out for, there isn't any response from them at all...

As he continued wandering the forest alone, his memories of what happened back at Liyue, it all came back to his head, and he started to grow concerned about everyone around him.

"That goddess... Her snap of a finger... The people.... Wh-where am i!? Is this even Teyvat?" he said to himself as he wandered aimlessly alone in the dark. "Where is everyone?"

From time to time, he puts his palms around his mouth as some sort of a megaphone and started yelling out for people in hopes that others could hear him, but after 5 minutes of wandering, there is no sign of them and slowly began to give himself up as he began to feel exhausted with his throat and lungs for all the endless shouting and calling for help with no avail... and pretty soon, he is lost...

Because he had been wandering around in the forest looking for his friends and his twin sister, he had no idea where he was or where he came from, and he couldn't backtrack his steps on where he had gone. He couldn't even find the creek and he couldn't see much because of the tree canopy blocking the moonlight.

"If only Paimon or someone else is with me, or if I had a map... I'd have known where I was," he said to himself.
