Jupiter awoke, having slept for only a few hours. Still groggy, she climbed out of bed. She shuffled towards the welcoming light of the balcony window, the door auto-slid open to give her access to this space. She looked out upon the entire shipyard of Section-C, where the Aegis was being repaired. There's an odd beauty to this place, she thought. This place seems a bit industrial for Kalique's tastes, to bother having such a fancy apartment here, but I don't really know her either, family or not. In the distance could be seen Shuttle Eros, parked amongst the other Aegis shuttlecraft in need of repair. Staring out, flashes of happier times echoed in her mind, as she hummed under her breath, Can it be that it was all so simple then? Or has time rewritten every line? She dropped her gaze. No one on this planet even knows that song. Maybe Bob, and that doesn't count. She walked back inside.
Heading towards her comfy sheets to rest, Jupiter noticed Kalique's closet. She stepped into the archway, to see a two-level high atrium, filled with designer clothes, shoes, and jewelry. Her jaw dropped at the grandeur of such lavish attire in this location. Brushing her hand along the closest hanging garment, she noted the detailed embroidery along the sleeve. Exquisite. Naturally.
Jupiter moved to stand before the clothes replicator in want of something comfortable to wear. She ordered up her favorites that Bob programmed in for her; A tank top, sweat bottoms, fuzzy slippers, and a little zip hoody sweat jacket. She got changed.
Standing in front of a muddy mirror, she thought, This is weird. All this fashion, and Kalique owns something that doesn't reflect her image? She attempted to walk around it, in search of a cleaner side, meeting only the wall. That's odd? Maybe it turns? Touching her palm to the metal, it lit up. Recognizing Abrasax DNA, the doorway spun around, displaying an escape elevator. Ah... now this is very Kalique.
Jupiter stepped inside. The door closed. Oops. Thirty seconds later, the door opened onto a concealed hallway. She stepped out. This looks really scary. I should go back but... this is the first moment I've had to myself since this nightmare began. She wandered the length of this tunnel that eventually opened onto the brightly lighted space of the Copper Peak Ship Yards. Working on the factory floor this late at night were only robots, multi-armed service droids, used to carry the heavy materials and equipment. Seeing no signs of people, Jupiter walked onto the repair floor in the direction of Shuttle Eros. Dressed nondescriptly, Jupiter moved unnoticed on her way to the far side of the lot. The service robots, however, scan this unauthorized human in their vicinity. Referencing her DNA, all units shut down immediately in her presence.
She steadily approached the shuttle, noticing that the ship listed slightly on its starboard side. With no stairwell available, she leaped to press her hand to the door scanner. The hatchway slid open. She planted both hands on the carpeted deck and hopped up, climbing aboard. That's when she noticed the giant opening, by way of a mostly missing cockpit, on the starboard side. Oh. That's why it's in the shipyard in need of repair.
