Sarah smiles up at Cole as they walk down the sidewalk, "I had fun tonight. It was nice to take a break from studying."
He kisses her on the head, "Me too. It was nice to not have pens thrown at me whenever I interrupted you."
She playfully slapped at his chest, but before she could say anything they walked past the crowd of people dying to get into the theater to watch the early screening of STAB. She couldn't believe the amount of people that were there to watch the movie about the horrors they faced two years ago.
Cole wrapped his arm around her tighter after feeling her tense, "C'mon, let's get home."
She lets him pull her away, " I don't understand the fascination that people have with what happened. You would think with all that's going on in the world that people would have more important things to worry about. "
He hums in agreement but she continues, "It's shit like this that make me want to lose all faith in humanity. It doesn't help that ever since Gale's book that people have been looking at Sid and I weird now we got this shit to worry about. We moved out here to get away from all of that and wherever we go it seems to follow."
She looks down at her hands, "I just want things to go back to normal is all."
" I know baby, I know."
They continue on in silence until they reach their apartment building. Cole turns her towards him, "All right now lets shake this all off. We both have classes first thing in the morning and then tomorrow night you promised Hallie that we would be going to the sorority mixer. Now lets go upstairs and relax for the rest of the night."
She grinned, "Okay and what's your definition of relaxing?"
He pulls her towards him and starts placing kisses on her neck mumbling, "You know my definition of relaxing, its just what we need."
She pulls away giggling, "Okay but lets get upstairs before someone sees us. I don't want to give anyone a free show."
He grins, dimples shining, before pulling her into the building. As soon as Cole gets the door open her pulls her inside. His lips are on hers before she can get the door shut. They make their way through the apartment shedding pieces of clothing as they go. Once they get to the bedroom he gently pushes her onto the bed before hovering over her. He leans down and kisses her before moving down her neck. She closes her eyes relishing in the moment.
Sarah sighs as they lay their in the aftermath of their escapades, her eyes drifting shut at the feeling of Cole drawing shapes on her skin. As she drifts off she mumbles, "I love you" before drifting into a dreamless sleep.
