Months ago...

Why do you insist on hiding us?! Our friends seem fine with the idea of us being together. I think even our parents would accept it so tell me why YOU don't want anyone to know about us Fon. Fon scratched her head as she thought of a reason, but she couldn't find one that would calm Khong Kwan. Their relationship was amazing, but this was always something that they couldn't move past. You know what? I'm done. Fon shook her head and grabbed Khong Kwan's arm. W-what do you mean you're done, babe? No! Khong Kwan yanked her arm away. No, Fon! It's been two years since we started dating and you still can't give me a valid reason to hide our relationship. I won't live in the closet anymore. Khong Kwan grabbed her car keys and walked out of Fon's bedroom. Khong Kwan, stop! Come back, please! Let's talk about this. Khong Kwan closed the front door forcefully, turned her car on and drove away. That was the last time Fon spoke to her.

Present day...

Babe, remember I'm going to Loei this weekend with my parents. We won't be back until Tuesday. Fon snuggled up to her boyfriend Kit. I'll miss you so much. I invited Som over for the weekend, so I won't be lonely. Kit kissed her forehead. That's good. I should get going. I haven't finished packing. Fon held onto him tighter. Nooo. Kit chuckled. I'll come back later to say good night. Fon pouted. Fine. Kit ruffled her hair, gave her a quick kiss and left. He lived two blocks away so he could visit her all the time.

Saturday night...

Oh hell no. Som took away Fon's phone. Som, give it back! Som raised it in the air and watched Fon jump up to grab it. We came here to have fun, not for you to be on your phone. I'll give it back later. Fon crossed her arms. Okay, at least put it somewhere safe. I can't lose this phone. My parents will kill me. Som laughed and put the phone in her bag. I still can't believe you got so drunk you left your phone at a party. Your phone is another one of your appendages. Fon pushed her playfully. Stop teasing me. Let's go get a drink then. Som smiled widely. That's the friend that I wanted to hang out with! Let's go! They walked over to the bar and since it was so crowded, they had to push their way through.

Excuse me! Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Fon felt her arm pulled by someone until she was right at the bar. Thank you so much, miss... There she was. Khong Kwan, her ex. It's no problem, Fon. Just be careful getting out of here. Nice to see you again, Som. She finished her beer and moved through the crowd until Fon lost sight of her. Som had to shake her whole body to get a reaction out of Fon who was still looking in the direction where Khong Kwan went. Fon! Snap out of it. Fon's eyes focused on Som. Tell me that wasn't her. Som sighed. Yeah, I should have picked somewhere else. I forgot she hangs out here with her friends on the weekends. Fon shook her head. No, it's okay. I can't avoid her forever. Plus, it's been 8 months already. I'm over her. Not even Som believed that.

The bar filled with music, loud cheering and the smell of alcohol. Fon tried her best to distract her thoughts from Khong Kwan, but she still popped up now and then. Fon had spotted her on a table on the other side of the place with 3 other girls, one was sitting a little too close for Fon's liking. What am I thinking? No, we broke up. She can be with whomever she wants. And I'm with Kit now and he's perfect. Som who had been watching a couple dancing in the crowd looked at Fon. Did you say something to me? Fon shook her head. No. Just enjoying the music. The DJ said he would put on a few slow songs for the couples in the crowd. Most of them dispersed to their seats, the bar or the bathroom. Khong Kwan and the girl walked to the middle of the dance floor and started swaying to the music.
