It's strangely easy to fall into a routine in Auradon and with routines come boredom. The kids are bored literally all the time. Hyunjin is waiting to see who stabs who first. It comes to a head when the twins are fighting in Fairy Godmother's Goodness Class again. Felix has Jisung in a headlock and Jisung is pulling his brother's shirt half off. Fairy Godmother, to her credit, sighs through her nose and says, "Boys...let's take that energy to Tourney tryouts today okay?"
"What is Tourney?" Changbin asks remembering to raise his hand while he's already halfway through speaking. Fairy Godmother's eye twitches but she answers nonetheless, "It's a sport I think you would enjoy."
When they leave class Felix looks contemplative so Hyunjin pokes him, "What are you thinking about?" Felix ignores him and turns to Minho.
"Do you think we should try out hyung?" Minho frowns as he thinks it over.
"I guess...not all of us though. You and Jisung should because Fairy Godmother is expecting it. Does anyone else want to try out?"
No one speaks for a moment before Changbin replies, "I'll join to keep an eye on the Disaster Twins." They both scowl but don't retaliate. Minho shoots Changbin a thumbs-up with no emotion.
Hyunjin waits until after classes when the trio has split off to try out for Tourney to speak to Minho. He corners him in the bathroom because it's the only time he can guarantee he'll be alone. Minho pauses as he washes his face to glare venomously at Hyunjin. "What?" he grounds out.
Hyunjin hops up on the counter to be extra annoying. "I think we should all find hobbies," he proclaims while kicking his legs idly. He's been planning how this interaction will go all day and has at least forty different responses in preparation for all the ways Minho could say no.
"I agree." This wasn't in any of Hyunjin's plans causing him to stammer ridiculously a bit. "Of course, not all at once. I think we should join clubs and sports and stuff little by little y'know? It'll help us blend in more." Minho says.
"Yeah, uh do you think I could maybe join art club?" Hyunjin's voice pitches up in the end because of his nervousness until it's a bit hard to tell what he said. Minho always has a strange way of knowing exactly what they mean though.
"Yeah Hyunjin-ah, that sounds good."
The others chill out and put off doing homework by playing video games until the rest come back. Changbin shoulders the door open harshly and beams with an honestly ridiculously large bag of sports equipment on his shoulders.
"I take it you made it then?" Jeongin asks dryly. Hyunjin laughs as Jisung storms in looking miserable.
"And I take it you didn't?" Hyunjin asks before getting a harsh kick from the other boy. Felix rolls his eyes.
"Ignore him; we all made it." Felix throws his equipment on the bed he's been using and Jeongin scowls.
"Nope, nope. Not happening. Definitely not. Off my bed." Felix rolls his eyes and doesn't move the bag.
"It's not that big of a deal Innie chill." Jisung scowls too though. It's unclear if he truly believes what he's about to say or just wants to side against his brother. Hyunjin's money is on the latter.
"Yeah, it is. It's disgusting. Get it off the bed right now." Felix scoffs at his brother's words. Hyunjin decides he doesn't want to be in the path of this fight and crosses the room to sit on Minho's bed.
"You're disgusting! You're covered in grass and sweat right now! You probably weren't even planning to shower before we went to bed!"
"I was!"
