*****HADES*****

Another one?

"We knew you'd come, just not this early," Castor spoke out as he made a stop next to Mel.

Aurora chuckled. Her eyes floated over all of us, but when they landed on me, her brows furrowed. She blurred out of sight, only to appear in front of me with her right hand on my neck.
The golden eyes looked extremely furious.

"You!" Aurora spat, "I've finally found you."

I acted along, feigning serious choking and all that bulshit, I was supposed to be fragile.
"Wh-who a...a-"

A flash of purple energy filled the room for a few seconds. And when it died, Mel was standing in front of me defensively while Aurora was on one knee with a hand on her chest, heaving heavily.

"How dare you?" Mel questioned crossed, her energy orbs filling the air around us.
They weren't the bright purple color no, for some reason, they had changed to black. Looking like little balls of void energy.

Oh boy! The show was now growing interesting.

Aurora got on her feet, just as her twin crescent blades appeared on either side of her body.

"Nobody, moves," Castor instructed.

"Get out of the way little girl." Aurora hissed as her blades started spinning violently. "Hand me over that bastard."

Bastard!
That touched my soul. At least someone thought I was something else other than the king of hell.

"Why should I?" Mel demanded.

"This is the Supreme god's order."

Mel huffed, sounding amused and irritated.
"He's no king of me. Hades is my servant. I'm bound to protect him."

"Could you two calm down for a bloody minute!" Castor yelled, standing in place.
He of course knew how dangerous Mel's power was. She was yet to grasp control over it, making her unpredictable and threatening.

"Why do they want him?" Mel asked Castor, her voice softened a little.

"First calm down and we'll-"

"This is my mission!" Aurora yelled and sent her blades straight at Mel.

Time to play hero.
I vanished from behind Mel and appeared in front of her before she could put up a shield. I took the powerful hit and the edges of the blades tore through my body till they protruded from my abdomen.

The taste of my own blood filled my mouth before slowly trickling out from the corner of my lips.

The room suddenly went quiet, or was it my world fading?

The last thing I saw before losing consciousness was the tears in Mel's eyes.
This damn attack was stronger than I had anticipated. Well, at least I wasn't going to die.

My eyes had never widened like this before as they stared at the sharp protrusions...the golden blood dripping from his chin and onto my t-shirt...the depleted strength in his dimming eyes.

"No-no-nooo!" I cried out as Hades fell forward at me. His hair sprayed over my face as his head came to rest on my shoulder.

"Leave," Castor said to someone.

Leave?

I stepped back, letting my energy support Hades. The tiny orbs started gathering around his wounds, slowly pushing out those blades. It seemed as if they were trying to stop the bleeding.
