Hades' Apprentice [[ON HOLD]]

24) King of deceit

   The rumors seemed to have circulated throughout the entire city, not to mention the CCTV footage that had somehow been leaked.

    The purple demon, was the label they had placed on the figure covered by the bright purple light...me.
The footage showed me from the second I materialized in the bloody hallway alone, then when I came in sight again with the two hounds by my sides. The camera had managed to capture us walking past the soldiers who seemed to be unaware of our presence.

    I was sure that that leaked video would cause a stir within the city, adding the growing siting of strange monsters that were hellbent on killing humans. But the government was trying so hard to keep this information from the public.

And so, the unfortunate soul that had made that footage public, would sure be facing some dire consequences.

    My brothers had no idea it was me.
Neither did, Hades.

After leaving that hospital, I had somehow managed to tame those dogs, which I came to learn were called hellhounds from Castor. He said that they were among the ten guardian hounds that guarded the gates of hell and also maintained order among the lesser demons.

    I had been so curious about the god watching over hell, only to learn that he was called Hades. The same name my messenger loved.

At first, they had been interested in Hades, my Hades, but after checking his weak power, they had canceled him out of the suspect list saying that Hades was damn powerful. After all, he was the third deity that came into existence after the Great Dark god suddenly vanished from the realms.

   I bit an apple and stared at the blue sky.

Castor had said that the heavens and hell were somewhere up there but in different dimensions.

Just like stories of a building, the heavens ranked above, followed by hell, and finally earth. We were at the bottom of the power chain. No, that didn't sound right. I was no longer human.

   This reminder made a strange grin cross my lips as I bit my apple once more.

I wondered what the heavens would look like, magical of course.
  And, were all the deities as goodhearted as my brothers? Would they bully me, as I was now the youngest? Was there jealousy amongst themselves?

Castor had explained the principles behind deities, and they seemed pretty much like humans did. From sexual desires to pettiness.
    The major differences were that deities lived forever without aging and the Yin Yang forces gave us special abilities that were far greater than humans.

I frowned as some information from Castor slipped through my head. He said that I was probably from the Yin energy, meaning that I was different from the other deities. But, it wasn't a bad thing, this was simply balance. Apart from the Great Dark god, I was the only other deity Yin had created, making me kinda special.

      My fate was still unknown as only the Supreme god could decide after I had been presented to him.

   From the stories, he sounded pretty powerful to have fought against his rival from the Yin force.
Oddly, I was a bit eager about when they would take me to the heavens and meet him alongside the other deities.

    I felt his presence, but it was a little too late. Hades plastered himself behind me and snaked his arms around me.

   I pressed my lips together, suppressing the excitement of him showing up.

  "Missed me?" He whispered sinking his face on the side of my neck.
His warm breaths fueled the hairs on my skin to full life.

At least I wouldn't feel bored when I would go to the heavens. Hades would be with me, accompanying me.
