HEAVENLY REALM

"Preposterous!" Laziem(Supreme god) roared, and the ground cowered to his energy. The little earthquake could be felt all over Laze city, his floating domain in the heavenly realm.

"How can a kae be so bold and disregard the heavenly rules? I want her brought here by any means necessary." He issued an order.

"As you wish your Majesty." Gavren bowed, her heart pounding triple its normal speed.

She had reported Melanie's action on Aurora, stating that the new goddess had also challenged him.
Who ever knew that being a messenger could be so life-threatening?

MORTAL REALM

      *******MELANIE******

Tears couldn't stop blurring my vision as my fingers felt around the two parallel scars on Hades' abdomen.
In my previous outburst, I had unconsciously healed him hence getting rid of the threat on his life. But the scars had been left behind, forever reminding him of how close he was to death.

He had done it to save me even though he knew bloody well that I wouldn't die.

"You're so stupid," I whimpered still in tears.

He looked so peaceful while unconscious. As if the world could go fuck itself without him giving a care.

Wiping the wetness from my cheeks, I leaned down and placed my mouth on his. I stimulated my energy, then started transferring it in Hades through the kiss.
This was the third time I was doing it since the Aurora incident five hours ago.

Despite all the energy I was offering, Hades still hadn't moved a finger.

"I'll kill you if you don't wake up." Threatened taking his left hand in mine.

A knock on my door disrupted the moment.

Who could it possibly be? Bothering me at such a critical time when all I wanted was to be by myself.

Carefully, I placed Hades' hand on the bed and then rose. Even though he was unconscious, I still didn't want to bother him with even the slightest noise.

I slowly opened the door and slid out, being extra agile.

The bright light along the hallway assaulted my eyes for a few seconds. And when they adjusted, I saw Castor standing there in black sweatpants and a green t-shirt. He was holding a glass of water.

"Ambrosia." He stated offering it to me.

Forcing a grateful smile, I received it with both hands. But a wave of dizziness attacked me, almost having me drop on the floor. Castor was quick to grab me and the glass without spilling a single drop.

The concern in his eyes was touching.

"You need to rest. You've been in that room for hours."

I brushed his words off with a sweet smile.
"I'm fine Castor. But Hades hasn't woken yet."

He helped me stand on both my feet.
"It took Blossom days before she woke up. Who knows how long it-"

"I'll stay as long as it takes. I have nothing better to do."

"What about school? Your friends?"

I frowned at him before grabbing the glass from his hold. "I'm no longer human."
