TOM RIDDLE'S POV
I had been restless for the past few days, regretting my actions but also not really regretting them. The strange mix of emotions was driving me mad. I missed our conversations, the banter, and the way we used to connect effortlessly.
Unable to take it any longer, I decided to seek advice from Mycroft, the butler. He had been with the Scamander family for years and might know how to handle Y/N's moods.
I noticed the butler in the Scamander's grand hall, diligently dusting the shelves, seemingly unaware of my presence. I approached him cautiously, coming to a stop right in front of him. He paused in his dusting, slowly turning his body to face me.
"Mycroft, if you don't mind, I have a question to ask you," I began, trying to sound as polite as possible.
"Of course, Mr Riddle. What's your question?"
"I was wondering, what do you usually do when Y/N is in a foul mood?"
Mycroft's response was delivered with an air of professionalism. "Ah, Mr. Riddle, when my lady is in a bad mood, I typically prepare her favourite dessert, a strawberry shortcake. It never fails to bring a smile to her face."
Ah, strawberry shortcake. It appears that Y/N has quite an affinity for strawberries. I remember that night when I practically coerced her into studying with me in the library, and she was wearing that strawberry-scented perfume. Come to think of it, Y/N always carries the fragrance of fruits and flowers with her.
"If you don't mind me asking," Mycroft continued, "what is the cause of her foul mood? Has something happened?"
Tom hesitated but decided to share a vague explanation. "We had a little bit of an argument. It was my fault."
"Thank you, Mycroft," I said, my tone more lively than it had been in days. "I think I know exactly what to do."
Mycroft nodded at my words, "I hope it helps you in improving her mood."
Mycroft was more than accommodating, and he gladly provided the kitchen for my use. He even took the initiative to lay out all the ingredients I would need for Y/N's favourite strawberry shortcake. As he handed me the recipe.
The kitchen was a busy place, with house elves bustling around to prepare dinner for the evening. It was a strange yet comforting atmosphere. Mycroft had leaned against the wall, his eyes on me as I carefully followed the recipe's instructions.
