Bitter truth

Lunch was a celebratory affair as JiHo along with Jin, Jimin and Serin had cooked up an entire feast to celebrate Taehyung's safe return as well as the news of pregnancy. And for a change, the dining table was filled with laughter and bickering's and even the ever disciplined and ever strict Jaesuk didn't stop them from talking while eating. So, needless to say, it was the best lunch they've ever had and now that it was time for all of them to leave, everyone was delaying it and dragging it on for as long as they could since no one felt like going back to their own homes.

But there was only so much they could do to drag it and eventually it was time for everyone to leave. Hobi and Serin were the first ones to leave, followed by Namjoon and Jin, but not before another round of crying and hugging. Jimin too left with Namjoon and Jin since Jungkook had asked Yoongi to stay back to talk about something. And now it was only the Jeon family that was left behind. Jungkook took Taehyung to their bedroom to rest because he could see he was worn down after having an exciting day before coming down to talk with Yoongi.

Jaesuk and JaeSeong were ready to leave, but JangMi who had been patiently waiting for an opportunity, finally got her chance when she saw Jungkook come down alone. So, she used it as an excuse to use the washroom, leaving the two men who decided to check out the garden and the pool in the backyard till then to pass time. JangMi made her way up, making sure that no one followed her before turning towards her son's bedroom and opening the door and walking in.

Taehyung who was yet to fall asleep was immediately alerted at the sound of the door opening and was surprised and a bit shocked to see his mother-in-law standing there. Throughout the day he had noticed JangMi's glares on him, but he had chosen to ignore it for the sake of his own sanity as well as for Jungkook. And he was relieved when JangMi had stayed quiet throughout the lunch instead of making passive aggressive comments as usual. But, now he understood that she was just waiting for a chance to get him alone. And he didn't need to be a genius to figure out what she was there for.

"I see you're tired after all the celebrations. It must be really nice to always be the center of attention and to have everyone wrapped around your fingers. You say 'Jump,' and everyone asks, 'How high.' Such a privileged and entitled life you're leading, all thanks to my own son. And now that you're pregnant, congratulations, by the way, everyone is going to pamper you and bend over backwards for you even more. But, I am not here to talk about your entitlement. And I am sure you already know why I am here.

You may have fooled everyone in my family with your good boy image, but you can't fool me. Where is my son? And don't you dare lie to me. My son is missing and hasn't been home for the past couple of days and I know he is being held somewhere by my own son. But, I can't call him 'My son' anymore, can I? He was never my son from the beginning and he completely stopped being one after marrying you. Now, he only listens to you. So, I am asking you once again, where is Rowoon and what has Jungkook done to him?"

Taehyung wasn't surprised at all. He was expecting this. But it still made him upset at JangMi's complete and utter refusal to accept her son's wrong doings. It was either she was truly blind to it all or she just didn't care. And he didn't know which category JangMi fell into. But he was kind of shocked when JangMi mentioned that Rowoon was missing and hasn't been home and Taehyung was 100% certain that it was Jungkook's work. Did he care? Absolutely not.

Both Jungkook and him haven't spoken about what happened during his first kidnapping and honestly speaking, he had completely forgotten about his lovely sister and brother in law, all thanks to his husband and his friends. Yuna and Rowoon can go to hell for all he care. But, now that he knows that they're under Jungkook's custody, he can't wait to meet them and deliver some much needed punishment. But before that he has to deal with the Mother of the Year, Mrs. Jeon JangMi.
