" Why do you think she did it?", my assistant asks me as he enters the hospital room. "What do you mean?", I ask him. " She had no reason to honestly. They were financially okay and their family was known for being happy and having no conflicts. The kids and parents lived together even after becoming adults and they didn't move so why? Look how badly she stabbed him, her father. No one with a simple rage could do this much damage. The other Solomons haven't done such a thing to their father so why would she?". I wonder the same. In my years of experience, I have never heard of something like this. "When can we question her?", I ask my assistant ."Whenever you want sir."

I need to know what might've happened before I face her." Please bring me her file. We need to see that and think about what could've happened and interview the other Solomons before we face her. Please call them and ask them to come to the station tomorrow." "Yes sir" he replies and goes outside the room to start the car so we can go back to the station. After he leaves, a tall man comes in. He seems to be the doctor who operated on the stabbed father. He is the only reason the father can live on. "Hello, doctor. I'm Detective William Jhonson. It's nice to meet you." "It's nice to meet you too. I am Zach Solomon. I am in charge of Mr.Peter Solomon over here and I am also his nephew."

" So you are Fiona's cousin?" " Yes, detective."

" Do you mind if I interrogate you for a bit? I mean it's late like 3 a.m. so please don't mind."

" I don't mind at all, detective. I will gladly help in any way I can so go on."

"What type of people were Fiona and her family?"

"They were the type of ones who never trust anybody. I assume due to family drama and mistrust. Greed runs in our family blood after all, but I never thought she would do something like this, no one did. She was the innocent child of the family from what I thought. The type of kid who matured early but never acted like it. My aunt, who was the oldest of all the siblings, would tell us about how-.."

"How what? Please go on. Everything you say here is recorded but it is kept strictly confidential of course. We will not talk about sources so your statements will remain anonymous."

"She would tell us about how my uncle, Peter Solomon would abuse his wife and potentially his kids too. She said that once when she was staying at their house an incident was created and he brutally swore at his kids and choked his wife too. Of course, no one believed her since we all thought she was old and not in her right mind. And we all thought that Uncle was a good person. Of course, every member of our family never shows their true face. It's like we all were cursed with trauma and greed for eternity."

His words did shake me up. I didn't expect that twist. There must be more to this.

"Anything else that you think may help this case?"
"Word of advice. Don't trust anyone from our family. Also, you should talk to Fiona's friends. They are trustable. In a life-and-death situation, she would always choose them. I have to go now so please excuse me."

His words keep me thinking for a while before I leave the room. It smells like blood. Going home for today and getting some sleep before I face this family seems like a better choice.

I wonder what secrets they're hiding.
