Joan became used to her boss arrogant behaviour.
Mike drew a picture of his mum, Joan and himself as a happy family.
She was so happy and proud of her son.
Mike was turning five in few days time.
Joan was working hard to make his fifth birthday a memorable one.
She had already started preparing his surprise.
Joan was in the sitting room watching TV, while Mike and his sis were sleeping in his room.
A normal Saturday morning, Joan was going to visit her friend Miley, but she had to wait for her mum to get back home.
Joan was on her way to the kitchen when she heard a loud noise from outside, she rushed to see what happened when she saw two cars that had already bumped to each other.
"Oh no"she said shockingly.
She rushed to the room to check of her kids woke up luckily they were still asleep
After few minutes, Joan's mum came back and Joan was about to go to Miley's house, but before she could Mike was already awake and he insisted to go with her.
But where he wanted to go was the park, Joan and her son strolled to a near by ice cream shop, and Joan got ice cream for him and also herself.
Joan didn't go to her Miley's house again.
She stayed with her son playing hide and seek and did other leisure activities.
When her baby woke up which she calls Maya she fed her.
On Monday, Joan prepared Mike for school and and she also prepared for work but her work starts by 9:30am that day.
And it was just 8:55am and his school starts by 9:10am.
Joan already told Miley not to bother coming, that she was going to take him to school.
She carries him to school, while her mum stays with Maya.
Joan directly went to work when she dropped him.
Her boss was already waiting for her in her office.
"Ohh, Good morning sir"Joan slowly closed the door and was surprised seeing her boss in her office.
"Good Morning"the boss replied.
Joan walked towards the table and dropped her bag and looked at him again, checking if he was about to say something.
"Sir, is there anything" Joan said.
"No" her boss said standing up.
"Are you going to be free on Wednesday" the boss said moving towards her.
"I don't know" said Joan.
"Why"Joan said.
"I want to take you on a date"the boss said.
"More like a friendly date" the boss said silently waiting for her response as Joan glanced at him.
"A date?"Joan said
David nodded his head.
"But I'm not a clock" Joan said .
David looked confused.
"Oh, I'm just kidding" Joan said laughing.
"I don't know if I'm going to be free but I'm gonna get back to you"Joan said.
"Okay, if not Wednesday any other you are free let me know "David said.
"Okay"said Joan
He was heading towards the door and he turned back.
"Bye" he said with a little smile
"Bye" Joan smiled back at him
Joan was happy at the same time confused.
The workers has already started noticing the closeness between Joan and the boss.
But they didn't bother about it.
It was already a Wednesday, when the working hours was about to be exhausted.
Joan was packing her stuff when the boss entered.
"Heyyyy"the boss said.
"Ohh, hiiii" said Joan.
"How are you" the boss asked.
"I'm good, you "said Joan.
"I'm okay" the boss replied.
"So, are you free"the boss asked.
"Mhmmmmm, yes i think so"Joan said.
"So where do you wanna go"the boss asked.
"What do you mean where do I wanna go, you are the one taking me on a date and not me" said joan
"You are the lady and I'm the gentleman"said the boss.
"Anywhere you feel is suitable for the friendly date" Joan said.
"Okay, let's go" the boss said.
They went outside and Joan enters his car. And they drove to a restaurant.
Joan and David came down from the car and they both entered the restaurant.
They sat down and the waiter came to take their order.
"I'd like pasta ummmm thats all and water I think, that's all" Joan said.
"I'd have the same thing as her and add two chocolate cake, for now just bring two bottles water as we wait for it"David concluded.
They had a little chat before the food where brought.
Then the food was served and they started eating.
"So, I heard about what happened with you and your husband"David said.
"Ohh, that"said Joan her expression changed to a sad one and she stopped eating.
Joan noticed he was still staring at her and he looked like still needed more details.
She sipped a little water.
"I found out that he was cheating on me and after I confronted him so many times he denied it, so one day I tried confronting him he decided to cut me off" Joan said in a sad tone.
David felt so sorry.
"This is not an sad date, let's cheer up" David said.
After they ate and drank and David paid for the meal, David dropped her off at her house after that he drove to his house.
