You weren't sure if it was the alcohol that made you more confident, or the fact that you were getting annoyed with the encounter, perhaps both. Trying to move a muscle to help you see the unknown man did absolutely nothing, his grip was almost impossible.
The balance of intensity and careful control in his grip made it clear that he didn't intend to harm you physically, but he wanted to assert his dominance and authority. As your heart raced in response to the situation, you remained trapped in his grasp, your curiosity gnawing at you. "Why all the secrecy?" you repeated, your pulse seeming delicate as it beated against his palm.
The deep chuckle near your ear sent shivers down your spine. "You have friends in high places; I'd rather stay out of that," he said cryptically.
It was like a lightbulb going off in your mind. This had to be gang-related. A million guesses and speculations raced through your head in rapid succession, but you realized that you needed more information to narrow down the identity of this mysterious person.
It seemed as if this man obvious knew a lot about you, and with his messages, had some liking towards you. You could use that as an advantage for this situation.
"Isn't it rather peculiar? You seem to know so much about me, but I'm completely in the dark about your identity," you pointed out, trying to gain the upper hand.
You glanced up and realized that he had positioned the two of you to face the iron doors, which were barely visible amidst the swaying and jumping mass of people around you. Your friends were nowhere to be found, strategically placed elsewhere in the club, leaving you isolated. It was clear that this person had orchestrated this meeting meticulously, with a determination to remain in the shadows.
His voice maintained its unwavering authority as he continued, "As I've mentioned earlier, my impatient darling, the right moment hasn't presented itself. My visit today is solely to convey a few cautionary messages."
You couldn't resist a playful retort. "Blocking your number seems like a pretty cautionary measure to me." As you leaned back into his presence, you attempted to take in any distinguishing body features, but he remained frustratingly elusive.
His lips brushed against your exposed shoulder, sending a shiver through you, and his amusement was palpable. "I'm here to assist you, and yet you're being quite resistant," he murmured in a low, sultry voice. The light kisses gradually transformed into nibbles, an unexpectedly pleasant sensation that stirred your senses.
As he lifted his head ever so slightly, you felt a single earring drape across your shoulder. You just needed to think of all the people that wore earrings! A smile of satisfaction emerged as you sank further into his grip, trying to get any other information.
His voice shifted into a more serious tone as he continued, "The rebels are going to intensify their attacks, particularly within the Tomon and Black Dragon territories." He paused for a moment, leaning in closer, as though he were ensuring that no one could overhear. "I advise you to keep your distance from Taiju Shiba; he's not who you believe him to be. My boss doesn't want you hurt."
