A Trip Down Memory Lane - Author's Notes

"To celebrate the height of summer, the students of Class 79 at the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles have planned a beach party. On their way to the location, Kaede Akamatsu and Shuichi Saihara are forced to make a detour when Rantaro Amami is dragged into an unwanted trip down memory lane due to his seemingly simple, but secretly complex, dislike of cars."

The main characters of this short story, in order of age (from youngest to oldest) are:

· Rantaro Amami (Pronounced: Ran-Tar-Oh, Am-Ah-Me).

· Shuichi Saihara (Pronounced: Shoe-Ee-Chi, Sigh-Har-Ah).

· Kaede Akamatsu (Pronounced: Kai-Ey-Day, Ack-Am-At-Sue).

*I may be a horror author with a love for gore, but I will never write a scene involving a minor or a domesticated animal that includes heavy violence, injury, death, or similar topics. Spoiler Warning:

This story is loosely based around the Japanese visual-novel, murder mystery game called Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, but it is written in a way which does not require you to have played or watched the game in order to understand it. Furthermore, this story takes place in an alternate universe, where the main events of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (namely, the killing game) did not occur, which means there are no significant spoilers for the main game.

This story does however contain very minor spoilers, which are:

· Character's physical appearances and general personalities.

· Rantaro Amami's original ultimate talent.

· Rantaro Amami's history before entering The Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles, mainly, details about his family.

Writing Notes:

Additional Notes:

After taking a break from writing for a while in order to focus on other projects and real-life obligations, I wanted to write something before continuing my work on readers' requests, so that I wouldn't be so rusty when creating stories for people. I chose to write about one of my all-time favourite game franchises, Danganronpa, and eventually decided to post this story online just to break the prolonged break.
