"Plot holes?" MFR questioned, her eyebrows furrowing with annoyance. The relatively short American with light brownish-blonde hair and dark bluish-grey eyes was wearing black and white Converse; ripped, denim shorts that went just above her mid-thigh; a black hoodie with its sleeves rolled up to the elbows, as the insignia of her cross-country team printed on the left side of the chest, and across the back; and a varied collection of accessories including a carnelian necklace on black paracord, a black watch with purple details, an Evil Eye bracelet, and her self-proclaimed "gayest earrings you ever did see," with matching rings. "Red, I really don't think this is the time to be worrying about whether or not this is going to make a fun book. No one's gonna care if this isn't a good read." Stepping towards the desk, MFR reached towards a rectangular cup, snatching a blue biro pen, before swiping a sheet of paper from a nearby tray and setting it in front of the half-demon. "Now just write, "everyone went home, and lived happily ever after," or something."
Sliding the objects back towards the American teen, Red dryly stated, "Wrong type of pen." They readjusted their black trench coat that was adorned with a multitude of buckles and straps, which covered their white shirt and a large portion of their dark navy, denim jeans. Plated metal covered their forearms, the backs of their hands, the top of their boots above the toes, and their shoulders too, which also happened to keep their red cape in place over their back. Currently, the half-demon had their hood down, allowing a clear view of their bluish-grey eyes and dark brown, braided hair with its blonde streak, but their mouth and nose were still covered by a thick black face mask with circular vents either side.Without hesitation, another within the room reached back towards the cup of stationary and held it out towards Red's face. "Well, you've got like fifty-twenty others!" Evan argued impatiently. "Take your pick and write already!" he insisted, the dangling paws from his purple rabbit beanie lightly swinging by the sides of his face as he leant forward. As well as their unique hat which covered their short-to-medium length chestnut hair, the Australian was wearing black trainers; ripped, light-blue jeans; and a black shirt with a white skull at its centre.
Closing their eyes with a slight huff, the half-demon pushed the hand away, their tail flicking in irritation. "They're the wrong pens. And this is the wrong paper. And again, I can't just write one sentence to end the story, it'll cause too many plot holes."
Placing her hands on the surface of the desk, MFR leaned against it and groaned in frustration. "As much as it pains you to write happy endings, can you just write one for once in your life so we can fix this!?"
"Yeah, the others are right," Ronnie added, awkwardly looking towards the floor as they scratched the back of their head nervously, fiddling with the chain of their necklace that hung over a black shirt and unbuttoned magenta jacket, the clothing paired with purple trainers and desaturated navy trousers. Making sure that their plain black face mask was securely over their face, the young Englishman continued. "I mean, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I think for the sake of our friends, making one badly written story where everyone is saved isn't asking for too much. It's not like anyone's gonna read it, right? No one's gonna care if it's a bad book or whatever."
"Exactly!" MFR waved towards Ronnie, before turning back to the author. "What Ronnie is politely trying to say is ignore perfectionism, ignore gaps in the plot, and write everyone out of the story already!"
"I'm not saying I don't want to; I'm saying I can't, okay?" Red explained. "When I say, "plot holes," I'm not referring to a bad storyline. I'm referring to..." their words faltered. "God, it's hard to explain something you don't even fully understand yourself..."
"Well, whatever you're explaining, please do it fast," Evan urged.
"We can't afford to waste time," Ronnie nodded. "Who knows what's happening to everyone while we aren't there to help?"
