Immune. The word repeated itself in her head. What on earth did Phil mean by immune. And more importantly why did he work in the hospital and help create this virus. It didn't make any sense to her on why he would help. He basically betrayed their trust. Her trust. A low groan left her lips as she looked towards Phil holding her sword high and proud.

"Well Phil are you going to keep more secrets from us, from them, or are you going to tell them what's been going on?" Y/N couldn't believe that he had helped whoever had created this virus and basically kill thousands, maybe even millions of people. Y/N's eyes welled with tears as her hand shook holding her sword. Wilbur took notice to this and moved from Phil's side to hers. Placing a gentle hand upon her shoulder, she quickly shook it off and looked at Phil.

"Look, I'm sorry I never said anything Wil, you and I both know that Tommy and Ranboo don't need to know about all this. They're too young for all this, they lost their parents and they would lose the one person they look up to as a father if they found out. Wil you can't tell them. I promise that I will eventually tell them but you can't." Tears threatened to spill from Phil's eyes as I just rolled my eyes and scoffed.

"Phil you practically killed their parents if you're the reason this virus was created."

"No Y/N you don't understand, I had no choice, they had my wife, they forced me to create this virus, if I didn't they'd kill her, they'd take her away from me."

"Phil it doesn't matter, you took Tommy and Ranboo's parents away from them, so if anything you don't get to have an excuse." Y/N's tone of voice was like poison, dripping venom.

"Y/N." Phil spoke as tears rolled down his cheeks. "I couldn't lose her."

"Honestly Phil, at this point I don't care, my family was taken from me even before this virus, so I don't have no remorse. You've lost my trust, you've lost everything. You're lucky I don't run back into the bunker right now and tell everyone what you've done."

"Y/N don't you think that's a little much?" Wilbur spoke up and I shook my head as I rolled my eyes.

"I don't care Wilbur, he deserved to hear that. He deserves to rot in hell for even helping creating this god damn virus. Thousands even millions of people are going to die for no reason and he's the cause of it. God Phil you disgust me, being as weak as you seem to be. You're weak for not putting up a fight to save your wife from whatever situation they had her in. You're weak in general." The words struck him like thorns digging deep in his skin, and Y/N meant every word of it. No remorse was seen from her as she held her sword at his neck now, anger laced in her tone.

"YOU TOOK THE LAST PERSON I HAD, THE LAST PERSON I CARED ABOUT. YOU'RE A MONSTER." Tears were rolling down Y/N's cheeks at this point and Wilbur's heart broke for her.

"Y/N." Phil spook up again trying to reason with her. Tell her that he truly wasn't at fault here, but in reality he was, they had taken Kristen, they had threatened to infect her and force him to watch her become what he feared most. He hated himself for helping create the virus but it was the only way to save her. He sighed as he spoke up. "We were forced, originally my field wasn't even going to be involved until the science field failed with the correct code. So, we, my coworkers and I watched them drag our families in holding needles to their necks threatening to corrupt them with a virus that hadn't even been tested yet. We didn't know if the virus was going to immediately kill them or turn them because the formula was still in the works. We had so many different tests, so many different formulas until finally someone created the formula they were looking for, the one they needed for their sick population control. He was the one that wanted the control, the one that was the one choosing who lived, who died, who was immune."

"Immune still doesn't make sense." It was Wilbur that spoke up this time. A soft hum left Y/N's lips as she tried to calm herself down long enough to listen to what Phil had to say. But would she believe him?

"Immune. Us that can't be infected with either the serum they created in the lab or by scratch or bite. We can't be infected by any of that. So if we got scratched or bit we wouldn't turn. Sure it would leave a nasty scar but we wouldn't turn."

"And who's this he?" Y/N knew she was going to regret asking.

"Marcus Y/L/N." Phil responded.

Y/N immediately froze in place her sword dropping to the grassy field they stood in as her world just came crashing down around her, her father, a person she thought had died years ago. A person she hated with her whole being, a person she thought she would never hear from again. Yet here his name was leaving Phil's mouth saying that he was in charge of choosing who lived and died. Of course this was her father, this all made sense now.

"Y/N?" Wilbur spoke up as his eyes went wide knowing that something was wrong. "Who's Marcus?"

"My father."
