I walked thru the crowed hallways of Montana airport trying to find the exit as I gripped my suitcase tight pulling it behind me. I find the exit and hear a familiar voice.
"Katie! Katie! Over here" I hear my brother Garrett call out.
I look over and my two older brothers are waving at me leaning against a Ram truck. There both wearing a cowboy hat with a button up long sleeve shirt tucked in, and wearing a belt with cowboy boots. I feel so embarrassed, I walk over to them.
"Hi sweetheart!" Garrett says giving me a tight hug.
"Hey little sis" John says pulling me toward him hugging me.
"Hi" I say nervously looking down at my shoes.
"Come on sweetie let's go home" Garrett says grabbing my suitcase putting it in the truck.
John opens my door as I get in the backseat. We leave the airport and head to the Winchester ranch.
"How was your flight?" John asks me.
"Oh it was pretty boring" I say looking out the truck window.
"Have you ate anything" Garrett asked.
"No, I'm not really hungry" I say still staring out the truck window.
"I'm gonna stop at subway, you need to eat tonight sweetie" Garrett said pulling into subway.
"I'm not hungry" I insist.
"Katie your gonna eat and that's final" Garret said in a firm voice looking at me thru the rear view mirror. I'm silent, I don't want to argue.
I order a BLT and we head home. Soon after that we pull in to the ranch and drive under the sign reading 'Winchester Ranch'.
We drive down a long dirt road. We finally get to the house and Garrett gets out of the truck. John gets out opening my door. Garrett grabs my suitcase and I grab my sandwich from the truck while John shuts the door behind me.
Garrett opens the door to the house and I walk in, the house is huge. There is a rock fireplace with a deer statue on the wall. The living room is huge with brown suede couches with a brindle cow print rug.
The kitchen is also big with bar stools all around the counter bar. The laundry is by the kitchen, then there is a bathroom. I walk upstairs following Garrett as he carries my suitcase to my room. He sets my suitcase down in a big room with a window seal.
"We'll get you settle in tomorrow, you can also decorate your room how ever you decide" Garret says.
"Okay" I looking around.
"The bathroom is just down the hall as well as John and I's room. There is also the study known as my office" Garrett says
"Grab you sandwich and come eat downstairs" Garrett said walking out of my room. I grab my sandwich and walk downstairs. I sit down at the table and eat a little bit of my BLT sandwich.
"Tomorrow we will go over all the rules and stuff you need to know" Garret said
"Okay" I say chewing my food.
"Don't talk with your mouth full Katie" John says. I don't say anything I just finish half of my sandwich and John puts the rest of it in the fridge.
"Come on sweetie let's get you ready for bed" Garrett says walking up stairs. I follow Garrett upstairs to my bedroom. I grab my pjs out of my suitcase.
"We will go over the rules and consequences of breaking rules with you tomorrow. We're also going to get you some new clothes for school, and go get some grocery's for the house" Garrett said.
