I wake up to my alarm going off, ugh why did Garrett have to set that damn thing. I sign I roll over and wince in pain my butt hurts. I turn off my alarm and get up for the day.
I put on sweats and a baggy t-shirt. I walk downstairs John and Garrett are sitting in the living room sipping coffee watching the news.
"Good morning" I say throwing myself on the couch.
Garrett looked up at me
"Good morning Katie" Garrett says.
"How'd you sleep" John adds
"Eh I slept alright" I say
"We're gonna go to breakfast in a minute and you need to go change your outfit" John says
"What's wrong with my outfit" I roll my eyes
"Katie don't start" Garrett adds
"All I'm asking is what's wrong with my outfit" I roll my eyes.
"Katie I suggest you just listen to John, you don't wanna have a repeat of yesterday do you?" Garrett asks raising his left eyebrow a bit.
I shake my head and get up to go change. I put on denim jeans with a few holes on my knees and a cute shirt with some converse. I walk back downstairs where Garrett and John are waiting for me.
"That's better now let's go" John says opening the front door.
We leave the house and head to breakfast. We're gonna eat at a Waffle House. We get to the restaurant, John opens my door helping me out of the truck.
"Please be on your best behavior" Garrett says opening the restaurant door.
We get seated, I'm gonna order chocolate chip waffles. Mmm they're so good!
"Hi John! Hi there Garrett!" The waiter says pulling out her notepad to take our order.
"Goodmorning" they both reply
"So what will y'all be having this fine morning?" She asks smiling
"Let me go ahead and get an order of chocolate chip waffles, and two orders of pecan waffles please" John says hanging her the menus
"Yes sir coming right up" she winks at John
"Ew she literally just flirted with you" I laugh as she walks away.
"No she didn't" John defends
I just giggle and take a drink of my orange juice.
Food comes out, we eat our breakfast. The waffles were delicious. We visited for a bit then we went home
"Hey Katie" Garrett calls from the living room.
"Yes?" I reply from my room
"Can you come here please?" I go downstairs to see what Garrett wants.
"Take a seat sweetie" John says
I sit on the couch wondering what they wanna talk about.
"We just got a call from on of the ranches in Wyoming. We have to fly down there and straighten a few things up. We are having one of our friends come over and watch you because you cannot miss school this week" John says
"Why can't I just go with?" I reply
"Because as John mentioned you can't miss school, we both have to go to Wyoming. "Garrett says
"I don't wanna stay here" I say crossing my arms.
"I know but you have to school is very important you didn't even finish your first day so you're definitely not missing. Our friend Brooklyn is going to come over tonight so she can take you to school and such" John says
