---"Make them talk to me, please."
Beau remained silent and simply focussed on running his fingers through her hair. He couldn't do that. Not after what all went down after she walked into that trap.
Her brothers were more annoyed at the fact that she threw all the efforts it took to reach where they were, like it was nothing. It had taken changes and efforts from everyone's side to create a bond, to create room for communication.
If they weren't keeping stuff from her, she had no right doing so either, whatever the reason. If they were willing to change and be completely transparent just so the little twins don't feel left out, she had no right hiding such important stuff.
Nor did she have a right to snatch their sister away from them. Putting herself in situations where she's inviting death itself, didn't sit well with any of them.
"I can't make anyone do anything, Honey," Beau finally spoke up. "It's you who has to change. Every one of your brothers have forced themselves out of their comfort zone, to help you out with every stage. That's why, they're right to think what you did was unfair to them."
Amira looked down, muttering a shaky 'thank you' once a plate was put before her. When she wouldn't start eating, Beau stood up from his seat.
He picked her up and settled down in her seat. Amira simply hid into his chest, not really feeling little but feeling a little too clingy.
Beau sighed as he pushed the spoon towards her, trying to coax her to eat.
Micah watched the interaction. Though he loved how gentle Beau was being with Amira, he was not the least bit happy about this situation. The boys might be mad at her, but silent treatment wasn't the way to go. That would affect any child badly.
He was just confused if it was even his place to say anything. He was their uncle, though he hadn't seen them for two years, he still was. He just wasn't sure how their guardian would react to him interfering in his parenting. However wrong it was.
Rose stood before the door, staring at the polished wood. She knocked once before opening the door to Josiah's room.
"Josiah?" She called out. Hearing no response, she sighed and started walking to Jayden's room instead.
She knocked once and stood there. She bounced on her toes while she waited for Jayden to let her in. Once she heard the 'yes?' from the other side, she opened the door and poked her head in.
"It's me," she said, entering the room and closing the door behind her. It looked like they were both talking about something, before she entered.
Jayden was seated in his desk chair that was pulled near the bed while Josiah was sitting on the edge of the bed, one leg hanging down while the other laid extended before him.
Rose jumped over Josiah and sat on his other side, snuggling into his side while giving Jayden a look.
"Do you want something, Boo?" Jayden asked, looking up at her.
Rose shook her head.
"I just wanted to talk.""About what?" Josiah asked, looking down at her. He knew where this was going.
