You know those times when you have a dozen things to say but don't know how to phrase a single one of them.
Levi has been sitting, staring at the board for a really long time. We got here really early today.
"What are you thinking?" I asked, looking at her from the corner of my eyes, before my gaze fell on Sera Goode passing our classroom.
I rolled my eyes. As expected she looked in though the glass, straight at Levi.
"How can my luck be so bad that Sera Goode happened to join the same school as us?" She muttered, tapping her fingers on her cheek.
"I don't know that," I muttered. "But she needs to stop ogling at you everytime she passes the classroom."
"And she passes like fifty times a day," Levi gritted, flicking her gaze to the glass window. "Why doesn't she just pass away?"
I stifled a giggle.
"I think she might want you back," I said, giggling at the disgusted scowl that appeared on her face."Hell no!" She said. She looked so much like Damien at that moment.
"Yeah hell no." I elbowed her lightly. "Amira Levi Verlice has found a prince now."
It was pretty funny how that made the scowl on her face vanish. She coughed a little and buried her head in her arms.
For once, I left my twin alone to enjoy her blushing moment. Jax has been the first person after Sera that she actually developed a liking to.
But this whole shy blushing is something new. Levi and Sera dated each other for about a year. We were thirteen and Levi just happened to develop a crush on Sera. They broke up when Dad died.
As Levi loves taking care of people, she used to pamper her a lot too.
But from what I've heard from Miss Amira herself, Jax is caring, which is again something that I wouldn't expect from Levi's partner, considering how she started hating getting pampered.
"What are you thinking?" I jumped, causing Levi to immediately start spewing out apologies.
"It's nothing." I put my hands up. "I was just thinking about you and Sera."
"Oh." Levi pulled her hands away from me and the panicked expressions vanished from her face. "She doesn't have a chance with me."
"I know." I sighed. "But you never talked about why you two broke up."
She crossed her arms and leaned back against her chair.
"She started being toxic," she started. "Tried making me feel guilty for not spending time with her and mourning for Dad instead."Levi looked at me.
"She gave Lucas a list of all the boys I had kissed after our breakup." The bitter smile on Levi's face had me backing away a bit. "That bitch kept an eye on me the whole time."Okay. This was worse than I thought. No wonder Levi can't stand her at all now. I don't want to know what Lucas did after that, but it must be pretty bad if she's talking so bitterly about it.
Guilt washed all over me again, at the nth reminder that I was the reason why my twin had to go through hell. It was my fault. If I wasn't so weak and dependant, Levi wouldn't have to bear it all alone.
"Rose?" Levi called. I hummed in response, raising my eyes to meet hers.
"Yes, Levi?" I asked, trying to make my voice as bold as possible. It still came out low.
