Travelling to another pack had been exhilarating for Mabel. It made up for the tearful goodbye with her parents. She'd never been out of her parents territory before. It was all so thrilling. They'd travelled nearly a full day in a car with all of her luggage. Jay had insisted on driving which was okay by Mabel since she really didn't see the appeal especially because she could run faster than a car if she wanted to. It was a mostly silent journey as well, It seemed as though Jay still felt a tad nervous about their very first interaction.

"We're just about to cross the boarder now Mabel" Jay said into the silence startling Mabel from looking out at the scenery through an open window.
Mabel felt the ripple of power as they crossed into the territory. Her wolf forced her to take a deep breath and she caught the scent of many new wolves. A howl in the distance caused her ears to perk up and a the desire to howl back well up in her.

"There's so many new smells and I'm so excited to meet everyone" Mabel offered, her wolf practically under her skin with the need to roll in and investigate the new sights, sounds and smells.

"I can take you for a run after I introduce you to the alpha" Jay chuckled as he heard several whines from his mates wolf.

"I'd like that" Mabel agreed readily.

Mabel spent the rest of the ride quietly watching out of the window as they passed through a town that Mabel could tell was mostly inhabited by werewolves. Though Jay drove past the town a ways and what came into view was a large open area that had training grounds and a play area and in the centre was a magnificent pack house.

"Only the top four families live in the pack house, everyone else has a house in town" Jay explained as he pulled in next to the house with three other cars next to it.

"That would explain the amount of werewolves I scented in town" Mabel guessed.

"Yeah"

Mabel got out of the car as Jay went around to open the boot and retrieve her suitcases. She had only brought her clothes and a few sentimental items, like pictures and a carving of her family in wolf form that was made before Elena, Alexa and Hunter left home. Her older sisters were leaders of their own packs now and even had pups of their own. Mabel hadn't seen her sisters for a long time and was both happy for them and jealous of them.

Mabel waited patiently as Jay walked around the car and grinned that boyish smile of his, his mouse brown hair casting a shadow over his beautiful features.

"Well Mabel are you ready to meet everyone and explore your new home" Jay beamed and Mabel could practically see his pride and happiness about his pack.

"Yes"

She couldn't help but smile at him as her wolf fell even harder for their mate. As far as the beast was concerned the full moon couldn't come fast enough. Shaking her head to get rid of her wolf's influence Mabel followed Jay into the pack house. She only had a fraction of a second to talk every thing in before several wolves popped out with party poppers and a banner unfurled.

"WELCOME"

The shout was unexpected and she took several steps back bumping into Jay's chest.

"Whoa easy there" Jay chuckled, nuzzling into the back of her head reassuringly.

"Sorry, sorry, we didn't mean to startle you" a woman giggle apologetically as she came forward.

She radiated power and authority. Curly auburn hair that framed her heart shaped face beautifully. She was tall and filled out, soft curves in her hips and legs. Brown eyes that held so much joy it almost chased away any of Mabel's lingering negative thoughts.

"It's okay alpha I appreciate the gesture" Mabel reassured quickly after she realised she had been staring.

"The names Daria Haze, and that lug coming towards us is Cedric Haze my mate, we're so happy to meet you" Daria introduced as the alpha male of the haze pack stepped forward.

"I'm Mabel Frostfang it's nice to meet you too" Mabel agreed as she took in Cedric's appearance.

He was a big man and her wolf was in full submission in her mind at the presence of two unfamiliar powerful alphas. His blonde hair was up in a messy man bun and his hazel eyes only held warmth and joy as he looked between Mabel and Jay.

"Welcome to the pack Mabel" both alpha's announced in unison.

The rush that spread throughout her body at the acceptance of her mate's alphas was all consuming. She was accepted and her wolf finally relaxed in her mind.

"Oh she's beautiful Jay" Daria gushed as she pulled Mabel in for a hug.

"Oh I know and I can't wait to get to know her" Jay proclaimed as he handed her suitcases of to another male.

"That's Devan the gamma, Jay nearly broke his jaw in training the other day" Cedric spoke as he noticed Mabel's curiosity.

Mabel nodded as she noticed a yellowed bruise on the man's cheek, turning a disapproving stare to her mate Mabel watched the bob of his Adam's apple as he gulped.

"Our delta couple are still out patrolling you should see them at dinner later" Cedric spoke carefully almost like he was diffusing the tension that had just built between them.

Mabel let out a breath before smiling, leaning into her mate to let him know she wasn't angry with him. His state of mind seemed as fragile as hers felt but his manifested in anger and not despair.

"We'll be down for dinner but I'd like to get my mate unpacked and settled" Jay said as he moved to stand next to Mabel and take her hand in his.

Butterflies exploded in her stomach at the feel of his hand in hers. Her wolf was practically howling for joy at such intimate contact. But Mabel had reservations it seemed now that he was in his own territory he'd let go of his aura and was trying to dominate her. Mabel's lip lifted in disgust at the thought. Letting out a low warning growl she released her own aura smirking as Jay eased up on his grip and his aura.

"I like her already" Cedric's booming laugh followed them up the stairs as Jay lead the way.
