She wonders what has she said yes to, he comes out their main door and signs her that he is coming on the roof. She can hear her mom and Ethan talk, he explains it to her mom and says thank you before coming in 'OMG THE VOICE' she thinks. She goes back to her room and opens the door for him. He is knocking at Meera's when she opens her door. She laughs at the sight, he looks back and runs to her room. She closes the door behind him.
Ethan : please tell me that wasn't someone's room.
She giggles.
Bhargavi : that was Meera's door that you were knocking on.
Ethan : why wasn't she opening the door then?
Bhargavi : because she isn't home right now.
Ethan : thank you, Jesus.
She giggles and sits on the study table chair.
Ethan : your room is freaking awesome.
Bhargavi : thanks, I like to watch basketball, Michael got me these posters.
Ethan : that guy dates your sister, doesn't he?
Bhargavi : yeah, he does.
She says rolling her eyes. He giggles at the expression.
Ethan : you are not very fond of him are you?
Bhargavi : are you here to discuss my beautiful relationship with Michael?
Ethan : oh no, of course not, I thought I could come hang out with you.
He says with a sheepish grin. 'Hang out with me?' she thought to herself.
Ethan : and also, can you show me around some time, I would have asked Michael but we don't share a good relationship either.
Bhargavi : sure, where are you from?
Ethan : Tennessee, I shifted here last month, and you?
Bhargavi : I'm from India, my parents worked here from the beginning, and I have been here all my life.
Ethan : and I figured you like the roof?
Bhargavi : and I figured you were trying to get on the roof.
Ethan : yeah, its difficult, the roof to the Thompson's place is really steep.
Bhargavi : no roof can bear itself from Bhargavi Sen.
Ethan : we will see about that!
He says with a smirk on his face, she grins.
A few days later,
Bhargavi was so excited about this, this was the chance she was thriving for. It was the pre-sem tests series coming next week. She was preparing herself for this day, ever since school started. If she wanted to get into an Ivy League school she had to score great marks. She is also a part of the official quiz team so she has to get the best grades in her class to maintain it. They are actually going to Washington in a month, so it all depends on the upcoming test. Bhargavi has been waiting for this for months now. If she makes it to the Washington quiz it's going to look good on her CV. There is a week left but she is already very nervous. Its mid-afternoon and she is about to do her homework when someone knocks on the front door. She hurries downstairs and opens the door. Its Ethan.
