She moves a little behind the door, so Ethan thinks that she is gone but she is standing there giving her sister a thumbs up and mouthing the words, 'he is good', while Bhargavi texts her, 'Get out of here'. She could hear her giggle after looking at the text. She texts her back 'Have fun😉'. Bhargavi rolls her eyes at the text.
Ethan : your sister is your age right?
Bhargavi : yeah, why are you asking?
Ethan : why does she talk like she is older than us then?
Bhargavi bursts out laughing and he stares at her for an answer.
Bhargavi : I totally understand what you are talking about.
She says while trying to control her laughter.
Bhargavi : she thinks that I'm still a baby and that I'm her responsibility.
Ethan : Isn't that the prime objective of elder sisters?
Bhargavi : yeah!
She laughs.
The study sessions go on for a week before the exam. Bhargavi realized that the only thing Oreo needed was to believe in the fact that he knew how things worked. The day for the test was nearing leaving Bhargavi and Ethan in complete stress. They both had some or the other thing at stake, there wasn't an option for failure. Bhargavi had the quiz to look up to while Ethan had to save his scholarship.
'The time has come' she said to herself. The test starts today, Bhargavi is more nervous than excited. She helped Ethan do the revision last night. He was pretty nervous when she talked to him last night. He even woke up early to study. 'he needs a pep talk before the test' she thinks.
Later when she is about to leave for school she texts Ethan,
Bhargavi : ready soldier?
Ethan : I don't know.
Bhargavi : Meet me outside at 5.
She heads outside, to find Ethan locking his door. He absolutely has a long face, she can tell even from a yards distance. They share a smile. Bhargavi walks to him.
Bhargavi : hey, are you ok? You look kinda sick.
Ethan : yeah I'm alright.
She realises the nervousness in his voice.
Bhargavi : let's do one thing, let's make a quick stop at Starbucks. Let me drive.Ethan tries to smile at her, she sits in the driving seat. They go to the driveway at Starbucks, its early morning and they are only serving coffee. Bhargavi gets coffee for both of them. Although she has to go to a different class for her test, she walks with Ethan to his class. He doesn't say a word. 'he is going to run away if I don't keep an eye on him' she thinks. She turns to him just when he is about to enter the class,
Bhargavi : Ethan, you got this ok?
Ethan : yeah.
